I can vouch for that what I don't understand though is like, who's doing the project. Milky Translation started it first and I think @ ch05 Simple Scans got the raws before them so Milky Translation said they were dropping the project to pick it back up and release their own translation of ch5 12 days later. but since then, Milky Translation hasn't even mentioned if they were really picking it back up.
so it seems like Simple Scans is the official group for it and I guess (judging by the release dates) they've caught up (1-3 was released at the same time, then 4 later some days later, then 5 and 6 a week apart each then 1 month after for 7) so it could mean a new chapter soon
let's hope.
edit: oh btw, grats on Banling Mystlord

Browsing through the mahoutsukai no yoru official site since I have yet to actually do that. They got Supercell to do the ED~
Still, it is apparently 1/3rd of F/SN in terms of pure length, taken into account how Heaven's Feel was a bit longer than Fate, I guess we'll be getting just a little bit more than Fate...not sure how they aim to be able to make this work out to be epic.

I don't think it's supposed to be epic? When I glanced at the novel it only had like 8 chapters O_o

Really enjoyed the anime over the manga and I miss it I also finished Hungry Heart Wild Striker and oh my god I miss it so much, I love sport animes
In OVAs maybe, but not second season because the final 2 episodes of the first season was absolutely self-destructively shitty.

The ONLY thing I didn't like about it was the standard shounen-dialogue in some parts. ("Oh no we're about to lose, but we must have [insert quality here]. Oh looks like we're invincible now.)
I'm assuming you're talking about FMA:Brotherhood (the one I've seen.) It really is a series that just gets better and better until the ending.

Started watching LoGH few days ago and just finished 1st season.
This is really amazing series and from what Ive heard it gets even better from now on... i was shocked in the end of the first season + Show Spoiler +Kircheis NOOOOOOOOO !!!!! I didnt see this coming at all he died so early in the series

I should really stop spending so much time redoing my desktop. Pretty much blew all of today working on it since I picked up my second screen. Oh well.
Picked up Amagami and Occult Academy to watch for the season, they're both pretty good so far.

+ Show Spoiler +Yeah it was one of the most heartbreaking deaths of the series + Show Spoiler [SPOILER kinda] +There are going to be more deaths too some of them will be almost as bad
LoGH gets so much better towards the middle, and it never actually starts to drag along because the entrie series is just so exciting and full of content
Amagami SS is kinda interesting just because of the girls and the way the anime will go. Never seen an anime pursue every possible relationship route. I don't like the main character though.
|
Is Amamagi SS one continual story, or do they present different versions of the story?
|
Amagami SS basically resets after every arc, with little things carried over.
It's like the Kimikiss manga.
|
what I never understood in Kimi Kiss is like, what carried over and what reset. I mean like, every new story restarts at the beginning of the 2nd term although I have vague memory of one arc starting with snow, Eriko's I think? Snow wouldn't make much sense right after summer vacation... and somehow I doubt the protagonist would've made a move w/o Mao's training but meh japanese dating sims lack any kind of logic whatsoever
I caught up on Shiki and planning to watch Occult Academy later today. Shiki ain't that bad but it's hard to judge w/ only one ep. After Setokai Yukuindomo's and Mitsudomoe's ep2 disaster I kinda learned to not overhype myself over series.
Somehow I wish we coulda understood more about Misuzu (and more specifically why Yuuki hates her so much, not that I blame him she's kinda pretentious) but I figure we'll probably get that through flashbacks and rewinds so I'm not completely dissatisfied. I also woulda loved more emphasis on the horror elements and slightly more suspense but I suppose it would've been hard to include those in an introduction episode.
edit: ah I also caught up with Umisho, I was expecting a ton of fanservice since it's based around swimming and a naked girl but no, it's actually good. I don't think I'll sit through the anime though, seeing how it has 13 eps and finished 3 years or so ago the manga's much farther storyline wise and I just read through it lol.

I haven't seen/read Kimikiss, and I have no idea what it is. I guess I'll look it up.
Now it sounds like Amamagi SS might be slightly strange if some things are carried over, some aren't. o_o
I think Occult Academy and Shiki are probably the best of the anime (of which I have bothered to start watching) this season.

KimiKiss is pretty much the same thing/concept as Amagami SS (it's the same company as well). the only difference is in Amagami SS, there are some filler and transitions scenes with other "heroines" to help introduce them and make sure they don't just spawn from nowhere.
With KimiKiss, they came from absolutely nowhere (aside from Mao, the first one who is apparently a childhood friend) and each story was limited to what happened to him and the heroine of the arc, plus some sister side-action from time to time to help the story move along (and keep the Imouto dream alive, I guess).
Now that I quickly re-read it, I think what I pointed out was just a mistake from the author, there is snow when Aihara meets Eriko for the first time but it's quite obvious that it was a separate arc and not a continuation from some other story. If it was wanted though, I can only guess that the author decided to leave some time between the beginning of the 2nd term and his first meeting with her to put even more emphasis on him being single and desperate.
I don't think things are gonna carry over with Amagami SS, it's gonna be more like you get to know the other girls through random events and dialogs even if it's not their arc; it'll also help you understand why the protagonist goes for them in the first place.
edit: just watched Ookami-san to long ass title ep3, which was like the last chance I was giving it: + Show Spoiler +idk what to think of the episode? there was very little fanservice and the story was ok, perhaps because it didn't focus on Ookami/Morino. old lady still makes me cringe but she didn't talk too much so that was fine, although I felt everything she said was completely unnecessary (it might just be a cultural thing or lost in translation thing, idk). For the 3 eps the series is a let-down so far but ep3 was slightly redeeming so I'll give it yet another chance, but I think the next bad episode will be the last for me. I'll keep an eye out for single good episodes (if I drop it and they manage to pull a few good ones between the bad ones) but idk, seems like a waste of time to me.
also Shiki ep2: + Show Spoiler +Again the story didn't progress, I feel it's extremely slow paced and just begs for some action like right now. I like how Ozaki-sensei feels very concerned about what's happening. what irks me though is how the eyes are drawn. it might just be me, but the way they are drawn just reminds me of what most authors use to portray mind control/crazyness/yandere
and finally caught up on Occult Academy ep1-2: + Show Spoiler +I like it a lot.
I love the theme. loltsun. #6 is hilariously bad. just can't wait to see where this is going. they're handling the humor nicely with the drama/suspense so far.
|
I actually only read Mao's arc in the Kimikiss manga, so I don't exactly know how and what is carried over. Similarly, I'm only planning to watch ep5-8 (have watched ep1) of Amagami. Guilty pleasure loses its allure if taken in huge quantity >.>
