Chances are that Age didn't have much to do with TE animation and it was mostly Tech Gian + Famitsu trying to do some advertising. Also a lot easier to storyboard and produce in anime form than the whole muvluv series. | ||

I'm not sure if the actual reason has actually been said, but my take on it is that adapting MLA would have been too big of a risky project. MLA is the 3rd VN of a trilogy (after Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Unlimited), so making MLA would require first making the other two. TE was something that is rather self-contained and short that they could pump out to try and sell some Volks and A3 figures of robots, while also advertising the (at the time) upcoming Total Eclipse VN. | ||
