Don't worry about it, different tastes

I don't know many off the top of my head atm but I would give Maid Sama a try. The male lead is not really a jerk, just confident but he does like to tease the female lead as he tries to win her over (you said you liked the boy chasing the girl and he basically spends the duration trying to open up the female lead who is serious).

I haven't seen quite a few of those you listed, some I like, some I didn't finish and others I loved.

I was gonna recommend White Album but most people hate that guy for being a "jerkface" so not that one I guess.
White Album 2, totally unrelated story, good characters currently airing.
Kokoro Connect, good story and a nice change of pace from the more normal stuff without being dumb.
Kanon also good story.
True Tears one of my favourites, give it a shot.
Kare Kano really liked it but you might have to read the manga as well.
Nodame Cantabile, excellent show with amazing music and also really funny.
AnoHana, excellent as well.
Kids on the Slope, Excellent stuff (In my opinion), fucking love the music.
Spice and Wolf, pretty good, took me a while to finish it but good.
Kimikiss pure rouge, I remember watching this A LONG time ago and thinking it was good.
Nagi no Asakura, new anime looks really promising.
Kimi Nozo, whether the guy was a jerkface or not is up for debate but I don't think he is at all. Great show.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Lol well I only started seriously watching these like a couple of years ago, so I technically "just got into" this genre. If you can name some more "classics" that be great. I may have watched others but if they're too old I most likely don't remember

Also, sent is not mistaken about how dumb and confusing Wing's storyline was. It has the third best grunt machines in the gundam universe but otherwise it has very little good qualities as a show.

I dunno, I actually really enjoyed it. I haven't watched other gundams but I still liked what I saw. It did get confusing since they kept switching around and such but it wasn't too bad imo.

nope, 12 episodes in the first season. 20 would be way way too many to watch. I'm only human lol. I'm used to sleeping 6-7 hours even when I was younger so I was able to get enough sleep last night. It wasn't that bad of a show tbh. I thought it was a rip off at first but the differences end up spiraling and at least where I stopped, it's totally different now and kinda interested to see where the story progress. I tried to watch Kimi Nozo but the quality hurt my eyes so I had to give up >< Will probably try again some other day but there are other animes I want to try first

The Kimi Nozo episodes I saw were all stressed out to the point where it was just annoying to even stare at the screen. If it wasn't stretched, then it would be ok. Maybe I need to check other sites then... TAKE THAT BACK! lol. That statement was only written for inflammation purposes!

Yeah it's fine don't worry about replying too fast, I also got distracted this week as I went through Lupin the third: A woman Called Mine Fujiko which I totally recommend btw, beautiful art and great story with amazing characters(specially the fem fatale girl). I remember starting a few animes and quitting on them before I finished them like Attack on Titan, Kimi ni Todoke (this one looks okay but sigh the female lead is so dumb, way dumber than Ryuji so I had to stop) and other stuff but very few lol.

Mostly I finish them and marathon them as quick as I can <.<, I probably watched all 20+ episodes of White Album in like 3 days, almost every episode finished with me going OMG WHAT!? Have to see what happens next :O!. I read what you said about Valvrave and went WTF IS A MAGIKA!? O.o and stopped reading lol, obviously that show has a lot of shit going on lol. Oh I see that's odd, what websites do you use? I watch stuff on gogoanime.com or animefushigi.com, both work wonderfully. NOU I WILL NOT TAKE IT BACK! In all seriousness, Kimi Nozo and Kare Kano (both amazing) are SO different from the romcoms anime we get now days that it's like night and day, you should watch and compare. There's way too many different animes that are interesting, some old and other ones that are new so it's getting hard to keep track although I could just use notepad XD I actually like Shingeki no Kyojin. I read the manga back in April and was hooked on it. Read through it in 2 days since I also look at the art and such. I watched a bit of the anime but seeing as the manga was far ahead, I forgot for a week and now I'm 7 episodes behind at least. Not sure I'll catch up yet, rather catch the 1-2 chapters that I missed since Sept.

I read part of the first chapter of Kimi ni Todoke, seems interesting. Dumb characters aren't necessarily bad imo. Keep in mind that even in Ryuji's case, from our perspective, it was obvious but he never knew that Minori liked him(she didn't do much), that Ami liked him(she only did one thing back after she beat her stalker) or Taiga(she started doing much more after the Christmas episode and he noticed a bit more but never got Ami's comment). btw, since I didn't mention this, he also acted like it was kitamura saved her since Taiga herself didn't want to hear that she said those comments so he was respecting her wish (and not being a prick lol). I give most animes a chance unless it's ecchi anime then forget it lol. You gotta give them more time imo. Some animes are slow and a bit boring at the start then they pick up. Shingeki no Kyojin is amazing imo. Last I was reading it, we were getting more and deeper into the story. I dunno when it got popular since I only found out about it in April but either way, I would still read it regardless.

well, I marathon some but like you, if I'm enjoying something or want to see more and have the time etc... then I go for it. Had time last night for Valvrave and went for it. Don't regret it XD Magika is supposedly a secret organization that is in control of the world or something. It was just introduced in the finale so I'm not that familiar with it and don't want to re-watch the scene again XD I used kissanime since I used to use it in the past but I can try those other ones. YOU SHALL TAKE IT BACK OR NO COUNTERRANT!

I don't doubt they are which is why I plan to still give it another try but there's a couple of anime I want to watch first like WA2(will leave WA till I have more time).

Remember the issues I have with embarrassing shit happening and how it almost made me stop watching Toradora? Well these "dumb" characters are just 100000 more times prone to these situations, in this girl's case she's SO socially inept and naive it's painful to watch. Every situation in the anime is about this, someone who is more astute than her takes advantage of her and one of her friends or love interest has to fix it but not before she spends 1 or 2 episodes being depressed about what she did which was nothing because it wasn't her fault anyway but she didn't know because she never had friends or people to interact with blah blah SIIIIIIIIIGH. It's exhausting just thinking about it lol, this drama just feels forced imo.

Also remember how me and Blizz broke up? well this show disappointed me even worse than Blizz lol. I could write an actual essay explaining all the things that I disliked about this show, I dropped it around episode 8. Yes the art is AMAZING, and yes I'll admit I was SO pumped about this show when it started that I would download the raws then watch it again subbed, I almost read the manga but I'm SO lazy about reading mangas that even this show couldn't make me

. But yeah I was just like meh :/ just a "gritty" and "bloody" naruto, not worth my time and moved on

. I also dislike all that ecchi and fanservice shit lol, I'm really not the demographic for that, not worth watching a show if that's what the writers hoped would hook people <.<. how was it disappointing? I mean yes, the beginning was so bloody that I honestly was surprised that so many were killed but it gave the characters even more motivation to try and end the threat. You should really consider the manga. Don't even sit and look at the art, read it, get the story etc... it gets a lot better since the story expands. ya, I dislike ecchi too. I mean I can understand why its done but still, not my type of anime/manga. There was no secret organization in gundam wing as far as I recall. Not even sure where that was headed lol. Yeah by all means give it a shot, it's not a bad anime, the animations is nice, the characters are nice, the story is okay for this romance anime and it's funny at times as well. But that one aspect of it which is pretty major turned me off, so I didn't feel like keep watching.

Was disappointing because I felt the story was going to go one way but it went in a totally different but totally familiar (naruto, bleach etc typical shounen fashion) and I was expecting SO much more than just the usual shounen garbage. It has nothing to do with how many people died in the first few episodes, the whole thing is bloody lol, any time there's a titan someone gets eaten and tons of blood appear on screen. Seems to me all this blood and "grittiness" is just AoT's way of trying to be "mature" the same way Mass Effect uses stupid "sex scenes" to do the same, they both just look silly trying to be more than just entertainment for kids imo. The story overall I hate and it gets reaaaally slow sometimes which annoyed me I mean get to the fucking basement already T_T and where the fuck is Eren's dad? wtf he showed up randomly in the first few episodes to inject him with something and disappeared? wtf and no one saw him.. sigh seems they just tease you with this shit then spend 20 episodes teasing you that SOON they will get to THAT part of the story. Long story short, hate the story and their attempt at being "mature" , so, not watching it

I went on a gundam music spree after that one lol, so much nostalgia attached to those songs D: love it. I think I said it before but WA is a good show, it's just a different show (for now I think) than WA2. I'm sure the author was going for both quality and quantity. The pace isn't too bad. Other thing is that they need to clear the city and Eren would get overpowered after a while plus they didn't know he had the titan power in the first phase. You gotta lower your expectations, watch it with none and then build them up otherwise too high and you'll get disappointed. I got hooked on the story after reading the summary.

I mean, I liked her personality. She was the quiet but kind character. Talking to Akira to help her relax because Shoko asked her too and such. bah, not liking where this is going. I mean, it was fine when they had to get runes but making them lose memories. It's definitely an interesting ground but I dislike losing interesting characters over it. Anyone else think the same as well? I wonder if this means that Haruto will face the same thing and lose all of his memories of Shoko and everyone else.

it's not bad but I feel like Tada just fell in love way way too easily with koko. I mean cmon, from the first day, he's been into her. I would prefer if he ended up with Oka but it's already been predetermined what happens lol

. Other than that, I've only read the to love-ru manga. Interesting story, wasn't a fan of the ecchi but my mistake for getting hooked on the story lol. Never read the darkness chapters though to see who rito ended up with and not sure if I will lol.

Forgot to mention, I highly recommend Nagi no Asakura. The art is gorgeous and it feels quite different to some of the other animes out there. I think you would like it

hmm while that's true, what was the purpose of saying goodbye Marie? I mean why would she say that to her if she was still alive? Thinking about it some more, almost feels like it was convenient to the plot to erase her memories through fighting. After all, she knows the truth about valvraves now after seeing Haruto's eye heal. hmm, wonder what the limiter is. Based on that, means that technically Haruto will be fine but ya, I wasn't the happiest with this latest development. I had a feeling that she will be able to pilot it based on what was going on

Also can't tell if Madoka cafe more popular than moeboat cafe or not. Both of them are to the point where you look at the line and just laugh and walk away.

Sure, but some shows, such as Valvrave, don't care about logic or reason. Even if you've already picked up on Nagi's definition of too much text, discussing Valvrave seriously gives the show way more credit than it deserves. It's basically been a giant Nana, TMR, and to some extent, ELISA advertisement.

I think the point he is trying to make is that there are plenty of shows that are worth discussing, Valvrave is not one of them. As far as I am concerned discuss away, but I wouldnt expect most people to join in.
