Considering the numbering of the "episodes" (1.11 2.22 etc.) it kinda makes sense.

Durarara 22: Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm Facepalm and as I said about Angel Beats 11: Angel Beats 11: See my Drrr tweet. And as for the Eva theory, I've heard of that theory already, and it's certainly interesting. It's certainly a possibility.

While it's still interesting I find the first half much more entertaining and interesting than it is now (I mean ep22 was pretty much a fodder ep setting things up for the next ep...whereas in the earlier episodes you had muuuuuch more going on at once and from different perspectives)

It's mostly the unbelievable characters that cause me to dislike the show. It's the same deal with Angel Beats, but it's magnified about 100x in AB as opposed to Drrr. It's hard for me to sympathize at all with any of the characters considering just how stupid they've all become. No one wants to talk to each other, and I've seen a lot of shows go down that rather disappointing excuse for plot action before. It's such a cop out that I frequently get frustrated by any shows that go down that road - not to mention that it's a shallow reason as well. Not to mention that the characters seem to have gone NOWHERE during the past 22 episodes. Kida still gets paralyzed when dealing with traumatic situations, Mikado has regressed from his bold actions in confronting Namie, and Anri... Well... She still considers herself a parasite. No character movement is not a plus for me :/

The first ten episodes, however, are golden. no anime can tread in such heavy waters in so short a time, with light taking the title pimp of the planet. So, what the hell are you doing, reading Team Liquid when the beta isn't even ready? GO WATCH DEATH NOTE

![]() Everything with Kida, Anri and Mikado makes perfect sense from a plot perspective though, how they are currently seems to me to be quite a believable reaction as to what they have done. Anri no one can really say they should understand at all, Kida is exaggerated, but Mikado is a normal person to the core, suddenly finding himself with such great power and in a place where he has never envisioned himself to be. + Show Spoiler [DRRR novels] + It took some people making it a publicly known fact that he is the 'head' of Dollars and a lot of prodding before he started acting the way he did with Namie again. He was a child playing with an adult's tool, realizing it as such and afraid of touching it again. Pacing though is definitely an issue. The books had a slightly better time there, and even then vol 2 and 3 was a bit of a drag for me. Well, action has since then been abundant again though.

Anyway, has anyone seen Aoi Bungaku? Very cool series; it animates several important Japanese literary pieces and its done quite well. Ive also enjoyed Hanamaru Youchien, it's quite humorous and it reminds me of an old favorite; Orochuban Ebichu which was also a gainax work. Im excited to watch Genji Monogatari Sennenki but I rarely have motivation to watch anime anymore.

I have watched Darker Than Black S1 and S2 (loved S1, didn't think S2 lived up to it as a sequel), Requiem for a Phantom, and Death Note. What I'm looking for is a dark atmosphere and animation and a mature plot (preferably set in a crime setting). I also thought it was really cool how in all three of those series, the protagonist was an average nice guy but with a badass alter ego. Thanks ^^ I think you would absolutely love Ergo Proxy. The english dub for it is on Hulu (sounds a bit off sometimes, but it's not half bad) if you can't find it elsewhere.
