Spoiler of ending of Monster: + Show Spoiler + I really hoped that there would be a big plot twist, as i read somewhere that it is a suprising ending. I expected something like Nina and Johann being the same person and Runge being right the whole time ... but nothing happened. (It was so perfect for my theory that Johann was not shown explicity in the city and Dr. Gillen asking Nina the whole time "where is Johann now" as if he was aware the in reality she was Johann and asking her where she had to go to become him.) My expectations ruined the ending.

it was definitely a story about the atmosphere and the progression of the mystery as opposed to whatever the actual mystery is imo What really sucks is that i probably would have enjoyed it for that exact reason, but being lightly spoilered, by reading a recension in which was written that it would be a + Show Spoiler + suprising ending and by further reading the name of the last episode. I tried to figure out the ending in beforehand and am now disappointed that none of my speculations were true, but i learn from that, that i should not pay to big attention to recensions and should not try to interpret too much, as it both can make your experience of watching a show worse.

I had thought the ending was really good. It was really chilling to see that vision where we saw the root of the problem in a pretty touching scene.

I didnt really follow what everything was about. Then later Im like, oh god... Oh god... OH GOD T_T. This is like the perfect anime to watch at the end of the day when you're ready to go to sleep.

I wonder how much bigger the budget for the Ufotable Type Moon adaptations is compared to other anime.

You'd think it would be the difference between a pixar film and some CGs used in cartoons.

I wonder how much bigger the budget for the Ufotable Type Moon adaptations is compared to other anime. Type Moon really has some large budget, as Fate series printed a lot of money for them.. and, btw, imo,TypeMoon really wanted to make a great anime adaption at time(since their previous anmie adaption for fate stay night and tsukihime were ...bad that even Takashi Takeuchi directly mentioned during interview), plus, UFOtable at time just a little known company, with TypeMoon's large fanbase and fame, they may also wanted to make a iconical anmie for themselves, so that , those sum up made kara no kyoukai's high quality. btw, dont know if you finsihed watching the 5th movie, it was just mind blowing
