Yea I would read it. Kizu is the start of all this and gives background context for everything else. That and it was awesome =D, even reading it in the awkward translated format you generally have to read LN in.

If you have only watched 3 anime ever, and two of them are Naruto and Pokemon, then it is impossible to recommend you anything other than the chart in the sticky at the top of the page.

I investigated that show a bit since it seemed to be the equivalent to mentioning Voldemort in Harry Potter. And Holy fuck I randomly read a summary for the last episode God Damn..Never even wanted to find out if the rest of the series was like that or what the deal with it on TL is. Final episode scared me away.

I'll probably get a shitton of hatred for this but if all he's seen are those 3 he'd probably enjoy something like Sword Art Online. The show's popular for a reason with new people and yes people dismiss it as something overhyped but the concept is interesting enough to carry through if you overlook the 2nd arc. I don't think he'll mind what people criticize about it, if that's all he's seen so far.
And he did ask about new stuff. The chart's good but I wouldn't put it down as "new stuff"

This is why you should just take recommendations and go to shows with no information
You should still watch it, for however bad the pacing and everything else is, it's still a deconstruction of the very frequent unrealistic harem genre. It's basically putting 2 girls straight out of a harem and a harem MC and finding out what would happen in reality

+ Show Spoiler +The MC has no opinions/beliefs/morals, he's a blank slate unable to feel some basic emotions. The women are crazy and have major dependency issues. They also don't think of themselves as worth much.
SaO is not a bad recommendation for new people. We might think it's bad and entrylevel, but if I was new to anime I would probably find it pretty good. Other shows good for beginners are Death Note, Eva, Code Geass, etc..
FMA:B is also a great show to watch but I think that it's a bit too good? Like, tasting great fruit and then liking worse fruit unacceptable even if you would have liked it had you not tasted the superior one first, or something. But I guess it's a great way to get people hooked on anime. Our chart is good, too, but it's more for people who have seen a few shows and are looking for genre specific things. You can google the /a/ chart, too.

Although it was clear to me that the crime scene did not fit the modus operandi (leading to me suspecting the scion guy because he knew about the modus operandi and the serial killer, so he had everything he needed to frame her), there was no way in hell I could have gotten to the biker...
And now they're talking about a 16th student... I lost a lot of respect for this show with that last episode.

Its absolutely fair to give someone new to anime a SAO rec. SAO isnt as bad as people make it seem. But its definitely enjoyable if you dont take it too seriously, and just enjoy that type of genre in general.

The evidence should give you a pretty good idea of what happened during the crime. The debate exists to fill in the blanks. Remember that this isn't a mystery show, it's a game adaptation. Interrogation plays a larger role than you'd think.

Why not try out something different like, sora no otoshimono, Seitokai no Ichizon, high school dxd, rosario vampire, watamote, mahoromatic etc.... Imo the shows are quite funny.

Is there anyone that has seen and can explain the ending of Nerawareta Gakuen? Because I've watched it twice now and the only thing I can come up with is that the writers wanted nobody to understand what they spent the last 2 hours (4 in my case I guess) of their lives doing ;_;

I honestly didn't really like any of the characters so it's hard to pick a best one -- though that's not really a bad thing because the series developed all of them so well that I had a lot of reasons to not like them.
I don't think Misato is a slut because she was mainly with the same guy but she was pretty "open" with him so I guess maybe a little.
