As for Votoms and Patlabor, production order is the short answer. I have a Votoms chart I can link when I get home. Patlabor has two different timelines/contiunities. First OVA->the 3 movies is one (these overall are srs business), and then TV series->2nd OVA is the other (these are generally funnier/less serious). | ||

I'm a little sad because the anime only viewers won't develop a caring connection to the characters only to have it utterly smashed. In other words, they won't rage as much because they won't actually care. Because let's face it, there isn't much point in reading/watching this otherwise. Rage is better than apathy, for example. | ||

The Keima/Shiori scene was beyond cute. Like holy-shit-so-cute-I-was-squealing-like-a-little-girl cute. Very satisfied with that scene. The rest was pretty meh. Still not into this Yui person and same with the doll loli. Ill prolly have to read their respective manga chapters if I want to fully appreciate them. + Show Spoiler [Watamote 03] + This ep was great as always. You feel pity for her, then you think shes cute, then you feel bad for her again, then theres those "awww" moments, but then shes stupid, so then shes all sad again. Then you're like "awww". Pretty much sums up how I feel about this series ^_^ + Show Spoiler [Yami Shibai 02-03] + The zanbai one really fucking creeped me out. The animation of the reverse bow or something. Thats forever scarred into my mind... T_T | ||

The first few arcs (the Hiroshima arcs) actually were pretty well paced, very cute, and had a lot of great character development, even if they were a bit predictable. Even the first Tokyo arc (with Kazama's surgery) was really good. To skip all that... now all you have is the rote, bad rom com shit and fanservice. I guess that's all people want? | ||

I liked Kyousuke's arc pretty well, too. That's the one they're starting at iirc | ||
