Unfortunately they're all films so it'll probably end up taking a while before anything comes out ![]()

Impressions: + Show Spoiler + It's nothing like the series, haha. Whether it's for better or for worse only time will tell, I suppose. I gotta watch that Ghibli film when it comes out. Too bad most of the shorts by Miyazaki are only shown at the museum, though. I'd love to watch some of those.

Cursing consumers. Oh, the anime was more or less on the stuff that no one cared about, so ova/novels have much more to offer. Oh, and about the space, think that was some of the usual unicode wtf moments. I liked Kure-nai, but it was also an inconsistent series. That's usually what happens with episodic stories, though, I guess. Once again it rolls with the twist of the main character already starting out nearly invincible, but there were too many ridiculously contrived things :

And how is Shinkurou starting out nearly invincible lol, bugger gets smacked around silly by pretty much everyone. Series only really picks up once we have more members to his harem being awesome, like the Kirishima girl :p I was pretty bloody surprised when I found out that Kure-nai and Denpateki na Kanojo aren't in the same timeframe, but the latter took place some ummm 10~13 years later or something (or a lot less, I can't remember how old Murasaki for the life of me, but she is the same age as the main group in denpa). In hindsight it is like. Duh, Benika wasn't that old, couldn't have produced a highschool son [probably]. But still ><

Find their individual threads. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=89838 etc. etc. Edit: Back on topic, Touma? Scarier zombie? Maybe I'm missing something, unless you mean his bizarre tendency to end up hurt but be revived by a trope super genius doctor.

For Touma, to me it feels like he takes infinitely more beatings than Shinkurou does. Other series mostly have protagonist beaten up to make things look fair, Touma just gets slapped around silly and get lucky/have more stamina. He really doesn't win because of super cheap ability or skill or anything, he wins because he can take a massive amount of hits. Thus a scarier zombie. Trope super genius doctor actually has plot significance, so don't bash the frog faced pervert ![]() ![]()

Index has more of a bland, shounen feel to it. He gets slapped around silly because that's all he can do. The whole point of his character is that he's a generic no-power that happens to have indomitable will, for whatever reason is convenient in that arc. Kure-nai feels a lot darker, in comparison, and his indestructible-ness is pretty much his pride and purpose. Dunno, there's a really big line in between that separates an "undead zombie" from a "ragdoll," personally. >_>

To me ragdoll or zombies are both just things that you can't really stop from clawing at you without blasting their limbs out from them (assuming of course that ragdolls move), functionally speaking the two are the same. I didn't really figure you included purpose and all though, in which case the two are somewhat more distinct.

I think I'll wait on this one though. But plot armors are everywhere, we think it is nice when authors are willing to take the risk and break it, but that doesn't mean its presence is a problem. Shana will invariably somehow win, Saitou will always save Louise in a pinch, etc. In Index's case, those are really the reasons that the plot armor works with, should we disregard the "Touma can't lose in a final fight" factor. For that particular Accelerator fight, his personality and how easily he blows up readily explains why he did that. It might be a plot armor, but it is consistent with the characters.

Totally plot armor :p He used a powder explosion and only afterwards go like "oh crap, no O2", lol. Psycho, not particularly stupid, but impulsive and has a penchant for flashy things. There are better examples of plot armor in that series than Accelerator, who is prone to overkill his opponents whenever he is given the chance to. Honestly he never quite demonstrated efficiency till later when it became a necessity, and even then he looks pretty happy overkilling.
