At this point I should claim to be a minicon, that'll save me  I blame T-M for the start of siscon trend though, Akiha and Azaka, come on, totally not fair for someone's first batch of VN/novel readings  As for the apparent loli tendencies, I blame low sample sizes (like one? wtf ) OR how being raised in Asia has made me accept pettankko without the Western prejudice >.>
The series (imouto) is a pretty cute one, I think aniplex is behind it so it might be worth a try just because of production value. Bake wordplay was so fun though, Actually, I started reading the novels only like...oh, after I went through Hitagi arc on anime and thought it was brilliant. Then I saw it in printed words and found it even more brilliant. Up until that point I was wondering how poor Shaft must be when it is including original text in the anime, after that I was convinced it was a brilliant move. Haha.
As for reading, we all have our ton of readings, you still haven't gotten through Verita's true history route yet right? Kizu should take backseat in light of epic plot finally joining the stories together.

Ah, I was like 99% sure it was Izaya and Ryuugamine, and his random fascination with Dollars. The last one made no sense to me, but in retrospect with her typing I should have known.

It's not so much the transitions so much as neither the comedy nor the drama are doing it for me, with AB. Too big a cast, not enough interesting characters, that stuff. With LB I was grabbed by Kyousuke immediately.

But who's gonna translate it now that Baka-Tsuki is forbidden from working on it?  And the official translation's gonna take a decade to get released. Unless some kind individual takes it upon themselves to translate the entire thing by themselves (or manages to run a group in secret), I think we're screwed.

Jesus...that is bullshit. I can understand blocking the first 4 novels but the entire series is a bit too far.
Actually, I understand the reasons for banning it but still...what a way to ruin my hopes after waiting so long for the novel to come out.

I mostly watch Durarara for the plot action and characters. The mystery is nice, but some elements are rather weak. However, when I started to learn more about each character's background, the story behind Celty, I got more and more intrigued by each character. Anri as the slasher never surprised me because useless characters in a story like Durarara just don't exist, but I always wanted to know the explanation behind her "parasitic" complex as was constantly brought up over the course of the first half of the show. There's just too much that I don't know about the characters to make me stop watching. I mean (from an anime standpoint), we still have big question marks on Shingen (who's characterization in the anime was soooo awesome ) and Izaya's plan to awaken Celty's head.
Of course if there's one thing that I clearly remember facepalming multiple times when I was watching the anime is the whole Celty/Shinra thing. It just feels so wrong on multiple levels.
Oh you'd be surprised at how rabid the anime community is and just how dedicated some members are... It may seem weird, but I have this strange feeling that something will pop up somewhere on /a/ or /jp/.... There's already a translation going on for the Chapter 1 preview If all else fails, it's time to bust out the Japanese skillz :x
Just talking about this reminded me of the recent minori incident where they claimed copyright on their series and had the current fan translations removed The difference is that the Haruhi copyright claim was brought by the English translation company while the copyright here was brought by the actual Japanese company itself. It's actually kind of frustrating to realize that this was likely brought on by the Rapelay controversy that occurred last year =_=

Btw for those who don't know, Minori's big titles are Wind, ef ~ a fairy tale of the two, and Eden*
Edit: Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the CUFFS take down of Yosuga no Sora from the Wiki as well.

Sphere, I think? Never quite bothered to figure out what the relationship of the two companies are. Pretty sure CUFFS was behind Natsu no Ame rather than Yosuga no Sora. That said...that game is criticism bait with incest. Eden* was at least tame.

Like what Mystlord said, time to bust out the Japanese skills. Eh, I wouldn't worry, FMP eventually saw up-to-date translations for the main plot segment (no hope for short stories though). Something of Haruhi's level will definitely see work done on it.

Holy crap did I get trolled. I kept wondering, hmmmm, not much time left, are Shichika and Sabi going to fight? Lol.
That said, Nanami is ridiculously badass. I expected her to be strong and not lose to the 3 Maniwani, but holy crap. Enjoyable episode.

I really wanted to see Shichika and Sabi duke it out. The preview in ep3 for ep4 was amazing.

Don't worry, you'll have a few epic fights in Shichika and Sabi's place. That said, Shichika vs Sabi...well if they fought for real, it wouldn't have been close.
Bungaku Shoujo aired...almost tempted to search for camrips.

On a completely different note, I finished Light route... it turned out I saved right in front of the last boss(es) and had grown tired of dungeon crawling at a very hilarious timing.
Then I started history route, and then realized in chapter 6 I'd saved into light route. Went @#%*&@#$@#$ and then restarted, this time turning off enemy engagement because I'm too lazy to go through all that crap again. We'll see... we'll see...

Yeah but after I realized I'd have to start over again my soul was rended as if I were playing Demon's Souls, and I turned off the engagement button. I'm also wanting to get the game over with (ideally I would have played history route and then been done) because I wanna go read Hakuouki (no shame!) and get back to SC2/LoL >_>
Movies eh, I'm just gonna wait. I was patient with KnK, I'm being patient with UBW, I can be patient with Bungaku. Rawr.

Yeah true, if only they allowed you to change encounter on/off in the middle of the game instead of only at new game+ start...oh well.
I was patient with rakkyo because we saw no camrips UBW...well meh, F/SN never grabbed me that much. Bungaku Shoujo though I can't wait to see. Actually, randomly checked amazon earlier and saw that they have the shorter OVAs out for preorder already (supposed to be available by December, lol), pretty bloody fast
While on Amazon though, I also saw a bunch of AB related music releases. Actually, I am finding this coordination to be one of the most impressive parts about AB. They packed a lot of work into releasing all these music and such so close to the anime premiering these songs. The collaboration that the trailers spoke of between the major players really showed here imo.

Almost finished history route, but I'll leave the end till later.
I found it cute how they introduce Marinya and Shuri as Apostles in this route. But Shuri's not playable, so I'm stuck with a weird team comp of Celica/post-mortrem Luna Clear/Ekria/Marinya/Navelius (no space for Rita T_T)

Also I'm stuck with a gimped Louie route, what the heck they're all over 100 levels behind Celica's team o_O It's great and all they give you Lin/Lapis/Tifana/Evelina(who doesn't even wanna fight/can't cast spells -__________-) but they're all so low level... Lifia too. Guh! The only powerhouse that was on that team (via clone) was Marinya but now she's on Celica's side too, what the heck.

Rita is pretty gimp in this game anyway -.- So slow for some reason. She used to have relatively decent speed.
Seriously second playthrough should just use Satia instead of Celica for one-woman army brokenness, Satia also means you don't have to use Luna Clear and can fit Rita in. Actually, I rather favor having that tree in my party (name escapes me atm), her chance of proc on hit to heal Celica, Navelius and Rita is amazing, not to mention high regen skills + fast direct heals + nonelemental magic as high level of earth. I never bothered to see exactly how much of a boost Rita and Navelius actually have by being in the same party though. Wonder if the 40%atk/def from using Luna/Ekria/Marinya/Celica is better lol, Navelius' magic is just so out of this world good.
EDIT - I was glad to see Rin and Lapis in, but they were really there to please fans, even after the trials they still rather sucked. Tiffana just sucked in spite of her popularity in genrin >< Louie's team is only soso gimped though, the granddaughter is actually almost as awesome as Navelius in terms of magic. Evelina's debuff goes away after leveling for a bit I believe, on my second playthrough her crap ability disappeared for me.
Just so that I am not totally derailing thread, bungaku shoujo's promotional ova has finally been subbed. Rejoice all. Now for the movies.

Well yeah I'm using Satia. I'm using Luna because I prefer to keep Celica/Satia on full attack mode (I've got his/her ougi to M, finally) and because Luna in maid form is really cute. 可愛い～
Rita is amazing though, but I think if I were really going to set up a pure slaughter team I'd do like...

And I guess we built Ekria differently; she's got M Buff and M Pure for me, so she's a one-woman wrecking crew, too. I don't know who's actually stronger, Celica/Satia or Ekria lol, it's pretty crazy.

Lifia's just so far behind for me, it's a struggle to level her without her getting one-shot all the time. It's not so much Louie's team is gimped, so much as most of the characters there have low levels... and with the defection of Marinya even moreso. Luckily Petreene comes back with really high level >_< Eva leveled up a lot for me (~50) but she's still got her spells redded out. I'm thinking it has something to do with the "乗り気じゃない" skill on her. I'd imagine she loses that in a second playthrough, or at least in clone mode. Just the way I ploughed through this second run-through with Maid Luna lol. That one section of the game where you're supposed to team Ekria with Rita and Navelius, I was too lazy, so I just ploughed through all the bosses and stuff with Ekria alone. So strong! Best part about Lifia is definitely her lines, though. Especially her cackle after leveling.
On my own sad-sack attempt at not derailing too much, anyone know when Eva 1.2's DVD is coming out?
