I like the dread the manga/anime can make you feel, but apart from that it really lacks in many areas. No need to not spoiler that and your telling that to someone who read the manga soo.... By quoting me you made sure that me going back and spoilering it would be pointless anyway lol. + Show Spoiler + Not to mention it should hardly be a surprise that the MC isn't dead. The focus should be on how does everyone think he'll survive, not if he's legitimately dead or not. + Show Spoiler + They offer a scene that suggests that Titans regenerates their limbs. Later in the episode MC loses his leg and an arm. GEE I WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MC. I HOPE HE DOESNT DIE. MAYBE SOMETHING COOL WILL HAPPEN LIKE HE'LL GAIN THE TITAN'S REGENERATIVE POWERS. + Show Spoiler [titan] + Yeah, one lost limb and its like "well shit, this could be interesting", two lost limbs and it's like "well, he's obviously not going to stay this way, so nothing bad that comes after this matters". The basement probably will explain what the injection is.

Especially since it took up half an episode this time.

Well, up till the ending it was okay. The ending was a bit of a wtf for me, but it's probably going to get cleared up later on. This was probably the worst episode so far. + Show Spoiler + White hair's problem seemed to be solved so easily and without problems. Hiki's philosophy at the end there was kinda stupid. I thought it was a good episode, and I don't see anything wrong with his reasoning either. Essentially, he's saying that people's kindness has ulterior motives behind it, meaning that he dislikes kind people because he can't trust them. What he doesn't understand is that people can be kind for reasons such as: you like that person, you want to make a comment on something about them, or you could be worried. But that doesn't really make sense does it? If someone likes you, is that a reason to distrust them? By generalizing the statement "kind people can't be trusted," you get flaws in your reasoning. And I didn't say it was a bad episode (though I kind of think it is), I said it was the worst episode so far. It had the least effort put into the volunteer work and the ending was, at least in my opinion, a bit awkward to watch. People can be nice for different reasons (out of pity, obligation, or for reasons like you mentioned. It goes both ways). Assuming that she's being nice because he saved her dog and not because she actually likes him isn't that weird. + Show Spoiler + And as it turns out, he's actually correct. + Show Spoiler + No, it turns out he was wrong (as shown by the crying). As someone who is meant to at least pretty good at reading people and their intentions, it's kind of weird that he can't see that he was wrong. And again, because he generalized it, his point is kind of off. Hell, he doesn't even entertain the though that people can have multiple reasons for doing something. By looking at this, we can also assume that he hates the white haired boy as well, even though Hikki so far seems to be on good terms (unless it's only because he thinks he's cute, which I don't think is the only reason). About seishun comedy: Well author refuses to flesh out MC's trauma past so a lot of what he does and why he does it can be hard to judge.

Visually stunning, pace can be unequal But for the story, for someone that has no background with Evangelion (never watched or read anything), the story made close to 0 sense

Its just cooler to throw stuff like plot armour out 5 episodes in. + Show Spoiler + That having been said the manga has a fair but of explaining to do so it may well be a catastrophe. So far its been entertaining to follow albeit somewhat excessively grim for me personally.

Pretty sure he just means Evangelion that isn't the rebuild (I think). Then again I got dragged into watching the last Harry Potter movie despite not reading any books and only watched the first/second movies sooooooooo. And I liked 3rd the least out of the 3 series thus far. For me its been 2>1>3. Really interested how they end it in their typical Evangelion endings.

I dunno man, he makes it sound like that was the only one he watched. "I've watched the Evangelion movie (can not redo)." If that is the case, then he might want to check out the two prequel movies... But, the third one is pretty weird and distant from the other two, he could probably get away with never seeing the first two! Instead of watching the rebuilds, I would actually recommend just watching the original series and follow it up with End of Eva. Anyway, I'd agree that the third is the weakest link. It did not fit very well with the other two and didn't have the Eva feel. Characters didn't make much sense and time jump = bad. I'd have to rank the three 1, 2, 3 (from best to worst). It's just going downhill imo! I wouldn't mind the "meh" 3rd movie if I didn't have to wait another 2 years for the 4th one. >__________________>

+ Show Spoiler + The whole Rei plot was pretty much revealed to Shinji (and viewers) in about 5 minutes by Kozo (a minor character so far...) which really turned me off. Oh well. It's no masterpiece, but at least the animation is amazing!

+ Show Spoiler + It was nice to see all the characters again, but what's the point really? Sure, it's a kind of fan service but I didn't feel like this was enough to redeem the last 20 chapters. Oh well, at least everyone's happy; it got a Good Ending. Your thoughts?
