for me, the best dubbed anime i've seen where the voices don't annoy me at all are clannad and spice and wolf

I've already seen Clannad actually, like the second part alright, thought the first part was shit though. Not much for fantasy to be honest.

black lagoon, haruhi, baccano
Thanks. I did already see Baccano and liked it. Just took it from the anime list posted at the top of the thread. But then I also got Air from the top of the thread and I can't trust that list ever again.

Madhouse is like 66% good 33% bad. The remaining 1% is for masterpieces.
Better than most studios imo. I've liked a lot of Madhouse productions in the past. I'm just worried that they've put out nothing but shiet in the last few years...
The only two notable anime made by them since 2010 (that I can remember) are The Tatami Galaxy and the movie Ookami Kodomo. One can mention Chihayafuru but personally I didn't like it.
Still, that seems like a lot.
Everyone is forgetting the excellent HxH remake it seems
Never saw it, but frankly because of my inherent dislike of shows that feature shounen/superpowers, I can't say that I'd want to watch it anyway.
I urge you to reconsider. It's not your standard shonen, it's THE best shonen. It's executed so well that I wouldn't even call it shonen anymore, despite its heavy shonen qualities. I can't think of any type of person who would dislike it.
That is false, One Piece is THE best shounen.
Maybe in terms of manga. OP "1 chapter per episode" anime can't compare in any way whatsoever to the brilliance that is the HxH anime. I will defend this until I die.
With One Piece, "1 chapter per episode" is fine unless you are ADD or something.
Ah man it's been so long since I've visited this thread. I haven't watched any anime since summer, although I just got done with EF and watched the entire Deadman Wonderland anime today. Is there really not going to be a second season to it?
Most of the ones that used to be (they might still be?) on Adult Swim have solid dubs. Ghost in the Shell, Evangelion, Wolf's Rain, Champloo. I think those all have good dubs, but it's been a really long time since I watched them on television.
Sub vs. dub is like watching a low-res video or something. You might be watching some ugly old fuck, but your mind fills in the little details with whatever it wants so you don't really care. When reading a sub, you miss all the intricacies of the language and the mind fills the gaps with whatever pleases it the most. At least for those of us peasants who don't speak fluent Japanese.

Znf please go hide in your corner.

That and most dubs are just god-awful.
I find the worst part about subs being that I will miss things going off in the background. Fortunately, anime usually has only a few things moving at once because animators are lazy! But, even in English (native language) movies, I actually prefer to have subtitles.
I have watched Attack on Titan recommended by lots of people and i dont get why its really good? Its like some big monster human comes to my town and start eating people then these solders able to fly around using wires. I rather watch claymore than this lol

Ya last episode was really good.

We can make a little fan group!!
But i am not too keen on the satan is becoming the 'good guy' tbh and that poor lucifer guy rofl.
What I like is that they're all becoming more pathetic by the minute, even though they're still apparently powerful :D + Show Spoiler +
"Pathetic" in a cute way. Like Maou only caring about being the employee of the month and such. Or the B-movie exchange between Maou and Ashiya. I can't help but smile everytime.
Don't forget the waifu who urged him if he wanted to watch movie then he should at least watch it on the 'movie day' (so the ticket is cheaper or something) rofl.
My favourite kind of comedy anime especially when i am back from work xD
+1 for not getting the attack on titan hype, I watched the first two eps and found it okay, I guess. Might try the manga, or wait until there's a dozen eps out and marathon it; the setting definitely does have potential, though the main character needs to go through some serious development before I really start enjoying the show. The animation quality is really nice though.
My enjoyment of the new chihayafuru ep was ruined by that totally unnecessary recap ep =( The pacing is killing me now, feels like there were two hype episodes in a row. I just want to see arata and the queen slay people in the individual already, fuck
i find the level of entitlement and overall standards in this thread once again hilarious... it is ok to be harsh with the shows, but who the fuck cares if someone dislikes or likes a particular show not as much, and always this "someone explain to me why" some shows get hype, some dont, watch them decide if to continue, dont always annoy people who can enjoy a show, its not like everyone here is jumping around "XYZ TEH BEST EVAR" so this shitty semi-QQ really gets on my nerves.
Titan is the talk of the town, was on a japanese german party yesterday and every japanese from 18- 33 knew it and watched it, i like it as well, but it is neither deep nor new, its just a dark fantasy well executed.
hxh "not so good" "but then again i generally dislike shonen" so why bother?
take a note from my book, i dont enjoy some shows that are considered legendary in this thread, but do i need to bitch and moan and demand explanation? wawawa!
ok i am done! but i really love to read the news and impressions that get written here from time to time, so its sad that it gets buried so much with trashposts ~~ here have some Railgun S:
the quality of the musicvideo has dramatically increased since "only my railgun" XDD that crappy cellar.
Lastly, does someone happen to have some info on the anime tracking site "the subwire"? its down for a long time now and i used it pretty often, so i would at least like to extract my anime profile and carry it over to MAL i guess...

Is this common problem between native english speakers?

Personally, I've got no issues paying attention to both the animation and the subs unless ridiculous amounts of text start getting thrown out (eg. szs, tatami galaxy). But there's nothing a little pausing won't solve.

It kicks in later on.
I didn't watch those, so it's pointless for me to say they're good when I can't give an honest opinion.
