This season has Valvrave, Gargantia, and MJP. It is actually really strong, in terms the amount of mecha. ...Plus Gundam SEED Destiny Remaster, but fuck GSD.

lol@the guy who said Gargantia was enough mecha for him. While Gargantia is good, I don't think there is any good reason for that show to be Mecha. The mecha parts of it are honestly a huge drag on the show. They shouldn't put a giant robot in the show if they are going to make said robot so dull and aesthetically uninteresting. I'm watching Valvrave for the fights and for crazy plot. And yes, ep2 had cool fights (with some added crazy). I basically agree about Gargantia, while it is my favorite out of the three mecha shows this season, it's certainly the one that has the worst mecha, and quite frankly I don't really care about that as it's not about the fights anyway. The best thing about Chamber is that he talks.
Ep2 had cool fights, that means Valvrave continues to deliver.
Yeah, I think they should have just gone with something more "normal" scifi, rather than a robot in Gargantia. The Robot in Gargantia really adds nothing to the show.

someone got an idea what I might like out of this season if I tell you stuff I liked / watched so far? Started watching around last season and I'm still having troubles filtering stuff decently myself...
Basicly I'm into comedy / weird / harem I guess?

baka test - pretty much the same as above.
chuunibyou - The first half was totally my style, the second half not such but still awesome
Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai - I usually don't like segmented stuff and it did feel quite segmented. Had to "force" me through the first 3 or 4 episodes but once I did that I really liked it a lot. It's actually the only anime that made me read the manga so far if you ignore the famous ones.
Naruto SD - Yeah I usually want some kind of story which it was completly devoid of but I kept comming back and saw every single episode. It was the kind of funny I like, just missing some kind of main thread to be considered awesome for me I guess.
Oh and it does have to look somewhat "normal" for me. Idk I like my anime weird but weird artworks really ruin it for me. Hassy told me to try Oreshura last season and it was decent / good but the design was borderline atrocious for me. That really does ruin anime for me 
I'm going to try some randomly (anything that is considered comedy without being slice of life I guess?) but if someone has a tip what I might like that would be much appreciated.

Hentai Ouji, Photo Kano, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (or whatever it's called) and Oreimo this season are pretty good. Date A Live has had a mixed reception though, and I haven't seen it myself so I don't really know about that. If you didn't see Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai from last season you should definitely do that too.

I know baka test and Naruto SD aren't exactly normal design-wise as well but I was fine with that. It was different but looked good while being different which (imo) just wasn't the case for oreshura.
I totally hated one Piece and never made it past 3 episodes solely because of the design of it although I was told to give it a try and being told to just ignore it because it supposedly got better (not trying to argue about the series, I know I'm not supposed to in here, just giving an example  )
I watched the first episode of Photo kano and I don't think I like it at all. I'm watching date a live right now (like 7 minutes in) and it does look like something I might like. That's all I've got figured out so far but thanks a lot for those recommendations, will try those out first!
