And just the atmosphere in general, though Shingeki starts of way more intense. I would say that SnK seems more steampunk-ish than it is futuristic, even though the only steam-related thing is just the 3D-gear. Hopefully we get to see more stuff in the manga.

But I actually don't when Shingeki takes place, I just assumed it was in the future because the cable shooter things.

I guess this anime is made for female viewers (teenagers), but ill keep watching until i dont find it interesting anymore. Still hate the girl though. So do you often equate all women to teenagers?

in that context was supposed to be 'focus more on the teenage girls' but phone sucks so i wanted to keep it short >_< Finally get the chance to watch Kyojin on my tv.....best fcking pilot episode ever! I have been reading the manga since it started and I was hugely impressed by it and now its anime version managed to deliver the same (or higher) amount of awesomeness than the original manga. The art style, soundtrack and CV, the whole production is so fcking well done. Must watch for this season FOR SURE. Another great thing about anime version is that the drawing of the manga is pretty 'abstract' (i think this is his first published manga) but in the anime you get to see so many beautiful details of the world that they live in. Defo one of the top notch translations of manga to anime. I hope they didn't blow all the budget on this pilot episode LOL If you really liked it you can go read the manga but there is no rush tbh, just wait and enjoy the anime because the recent chapter of manga revealed something huge so it could be ending soon (i am making people want to read the manga lol).

The last scene that full of blood is so beautiful....I need to watch the anime again! To me kyojin is more about the violence and the 'blood pumping' element from the spirit/speech/actions of the characters, the 'shocking' turn out of the story is awesome but i dont ask for much about it.

Unless we're given a concrete time reference to modern times, time is pretty much irrelevant until the story expands. SSY has already given us a time reference since the first episode because of the post apocalypse. Plus the gear itself can be made theoretically during the Industrial Period. The show may be in the past or the future, but this is pointless anyway. ![]() Needs more steampunk anime like Last Exile (not the crappy sequel)....
