Although I watched that before watching TTGL or Getter Robo, so I don't think I got the reference at all. Reminds me of that GGG reference in Hayate :D On February 12 2013 13:26 Rebs wrote: I dont think its supposed to have any rewatch value, I dont think you'd find stuff like Nichijou or Bros funny if you went back to it either. I though it was pretty funny at the time, maybe if I went back to it it wouldnt be, but so what. Dont need sourpuss robo otakus to tell you whats funny. I find Nichibros has quite good rewatch value. I've actually rewatched a few scenes from it and still cracked up laughing. It's that good.

I think it's pretty clear that the anime has obvious impacts on otaku culture but it's relatively difficult to appreciate for some people while others they love it and for some it's painstakingly dull and retarded. There, I've wrapped up the discussion (and almost every other anime discussion for that matter) and now we move on, yes? I should've realized this a long time ago, but the cycles that this thread perpetually finds itself in is quite hilarious. Rarely anything new ever happens. BTW, information on that new Ghost in the Shell anime is allegedly coming out today/tomorrow. I'm kind of excited. Oooh, info on new GitS? Yes please.

Sakamoto Maaya to voice Motoko, not sure about other cast yet. Kusanagi Motoko: Sakamoto Maaya Batou: Matsuda Kenichiro Togusa: Shingaki Tarusuke Ishikawa: Dan Tomoyuki Saito: Nakakuni Takuro Pazu: Ueda Yoji Borma: Nakai Kazuya Aramaki: Juku Ikkyu + Show Spoiler + IT HAS TACHIKOMAS! YAY YAY! On a slightly more serious note, I'm rather sad to see the voices for all the characters change, I'm going to miss Batou's old voice. Sakamoto Maaya voicing Motoko is awesome though, she's been my favorite VA ever since I watched the Kara no Kyoukai movies. edit: I have my concerns about the format, though. Four episodes, 50 minutes each. Let's hope there isn't half a year in between each episode...

Nichibros has really good rewatch value imo. + Show Spoiler + Which is another reason why it is better than Nichijou.

For example, I thought the Tatami Galaxy was great, but I wouldn't really want to go back and watch that entire thing again. I don't think it is something that decides if a show is good or not, but it is definitively a nice bonus.
