![]() And Angel Beats is finally getting good somewhat. Production qualities continue to amaze me. I can't get enough of the OP, and I now know why the ED is set up as it is, since the cast of characters featured is constantly changing. BTW, anyone love TK? I do <3 Unfortunately there were some weird things (Was Otanashi shooting at the wall for target practice?), and the rest should probably be spoilered: + Show Spoiler [Angel Beats Episode 3] + I'm still wondering how everyone dies. It's just something bugging me. Yuri didn't say in Ep 2, and Iwasawa just err... died? I'm not sure what's the up with that. It just feels like something's missing with that... Tenshi's one liner was the real sucker punch of this episode. First time she talks, and the first thing she says flips our perspective around. On the other hand, I didn't like Iwasawa's departure from the world. I did not connect with her. Even after the revelation of her backstory, the drama just didn't get to me. There's just something wrong with how her story is playing out... I'm not sure what it is though. It could be the rapidity with which she disappeared, but I can't place my finger on it exactly. And the revelation of the fact that Tenshi built her own techniques is pretty huge. After all, the entire premise of Yuri's struggle is based on the premise that there is a God, and that Tenshi is a proxy of that God. But if there is no interference from God... What are they fighting against? Another person who has found her own identity in this world? I do think that the presence of this world in and of itself means that there is a God though, it's just that God isn't actively playing a role in this world. The other explanation is that the phenomenon is completely supernatural, but I wouldn't feel satisfied if that's the real explanation ![]() Just as a note, I've never read the light novels, so this is real speculation ![]() One more thing about Angel Beats: I'm very disappointed to find out that they're taking the baseball route for episode 4. Very, very disappointed ![]() Well, on another note, I watched the first episode of Saraiya Goyou. It's impossible to make any sort of judgment based off of that first episode, so I'm expecting the series to go somewhere with episode two... hopefully ![]() The art style is very, very weird. Everyone looks like the Heaven Canceler from Index/Railgun, and I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing... It'll end up depending on how the story works out. And on the topic of the story... Did anyone get the point of the first 5 or so minutes? I didn't get the connection with that and the rest of the episode. Unfortunately the art style has probably already turned off a lot of people, and everyone expecting Samurai Champloo part 2 must be severely disappointed ![]()

![]() Alright, getting close to May, give me more bungaku shoujo, Japan. And now I am somewhat regretting my decision not to get the limited edition of gaiden 2 and 3 for dvds >< About AB's OP, if Tenshi never opens her eyes during it I'd like it more, every time she opens her eyes and gives me that expressionless stare I want to punch something -.-

Past that, things get confusing... As far as I remember, they're in some sort of illusionary world that's parallel to all other worlds. The light balls you collect in each route (in the VN) end up here. Eventually, when there's enough, they can be used to grant a wish. So Ushio uses the light balls to send Tomoya to a parallel world. So the ending is essentially an alternate universe where Nagisa didn't die. There's some more stuff about the city and Nagisa, but I never really understood that part. TK's voice reminds me of Captain Falcon. I can't unhear it. Durarara is certainly starting to pick up. Too bad I already got spoiled up to this point. Stupid internet. By the way, Shinra's dad is a jerk. Why so slow, Eclipse? TT

Actually, speaking of the chatroom, I only realized the other day why I thought Izaya's speech pattern in the chat room was so weird, he speaks like a female in the chatroom. I think I've just been unconsciously ignoring the presence of a net okama ><

Shamelessly copied from TVTropes: + Show Spoiler + Finding true happiness breaks the curse that the Buddhist monks laid on Kannabi no Mikoto, allowing the next life to freely pursue happiness. Hence, although Misuzu dies in this lifetime, her next life will be a happy one, giving the ending a heartwarming undercurrent of hope. Kanon is similar to Clannad, but not as good imo. hmm first season of clannad was boring as shit, but the second season was a lot better and the ending for that was + Show Spoiler + the old typical lol sup it was a dream jk kanon i thought, had a really creative story that was just pretty epic in my book kanon > after story > clannad s1

Anyone know how many movies Break Blade will get? I certainly hope they will keep going until they cover everything, but not at the expense of rushing things to cram more in a single movie.

+ Show Spoiler + Iwasama-sans dissapearence as she accepted her death and faded out of whatever world they're stuck in. I wonder if they're in some kind of life/death situation and if they accept the angels resolution they die, but if they accept why they have a reason to live, they survive? Very interesting show. That's basically my idea for it. I really do love the show though. The main male protagonist is a pretty good character and that guy who's supposed to be American I think? Is pretty funny.

Is pretty funny. + Show Spoiler [Angel Beats] + I don't think she accepted her death, she just accepted her disappearance. The reason why this world exists (apparently) is as a type of purgatory where those who still have regrets about their life goes. Disappearing is a function of both listening to what Tenshi orders, but also another unknown factor, which is where the episode ends. I think the exact reason why Iwasawa disappeared might be revealed in the next episode (unless we return to useless filler crap, completely possible since it's about baseball...). The way through which Iwasawa disappears is also kind of weird, since she just says that she found something before disappearing, but what did she find precisely? Did she find that she can save others through music? I don't necessarily see how that leads to disappearing though, it rather seems to me as if she forgot about the circumstances of her death and the unfairness of life, as both her's and Yuri's story seems to emphasize. That's pretty much why Iwasawa's disappearance troubles me, since her revelation doesn't seem to match up with anything really... If the entire premise of the brigade is to fight the unfairness of God (if he exists in this world), then Iwasawa seems to have completely forgot about it when she disappeared... I have a feeling that I didn't get across what I wanted to say, but I think the general gist of it worked ![]() And TK is epic. He was basically jamming out the entirety of the meeting, and this: ![]() Just made me laugh out loud.
