Hey guys, I'm finally on my winter break for my first semester of college! I haven't been able to watch any anime since August, so I've been really out of the loop on what's been released, how some anime series turned out, etc.. you get the point. Just a simple question really. Is SAO worth downloading? I'm trying to download as much anime as possible before I leave to go back home, where I can't stream/download at all.

Id say yes. Nearly everyone can enjoy it if you dont take it seriously.
In my perspective, I enjoy it. But it makes me feel better when I make fun of others who praise it, just so I dont feel bad for watching it myself.

SAO was actually really entertaining and if you can turn a blind eye to all of its bad elements, it was entertaining. I felt that it was one of those things that had the potential to be really good but someone somewhere fucked it up in small ways at all the right places to make it not so great.
Chuuni was surprisingly good. Like, don't let the premise fool you, it is really good.
Haven't watched the others so dunno what to say about those.

Huh it kind of sounds like Guilty Crown. I think that it had a lot of potential, but they really rushed the story line and messed it up big time. I suppose I'll give it a shot and see how the first few episodes go. Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I'm really excited to get back into anime after so long.

I am a bit dissapointed in this season... some animes started and were pretty promising, but I totally lost interest midway =/
SAO, Little Busters, Busou Shinki, Shinsekai yori (really sad about this one)...
I just fast forwarded through the last eps =/

I thought SAO was terrible. I enjoyed the first few episodes, but afterward the show degraded into complete awfulness, especially with Alfheim Online.

Good first episode, sidestories were meh, SAO was ok, ALO meh, reading GGO and it's entertaining enough for me to keep reading at least.

i have a question about sao
+ Show Spoiler +didn't the rapist say that if the dmg level drops below 3 some one can die? his eyes were a bit messed up but he didn't die ehm, ehm...
also kirito could have his old sword art avatar but he didn't get it and prefered elf one? WHAT? WHAAT? WHAAAAT?

The way the anime introduced how Kirito and Asuna met was lame. The novel version was better IMO.

the SAO part was the best part, ALO didn't feel as good mainly because the concept of dying wasn't final

The sao part was definitely better. It still sucked though. I wish they´d really gone for what I thought they would when I heard the premise. I though the focus would´ve been on clearing the game and surviving.
