Agree Touch probably best one, though it's rather aged. Cross Game is like Touch-lite, with less sports It's not that sports other than Baseball seems rather silly, it's that non-Adachi Mitsuru sports manga tends to be over the top shounen - see Major. Monkey Turn manga is pretty decent (motorboat racing), though I never watched anime (there are two 2 cour seasons) | ||

Ghost in the Shell in all its various forms is much better plot-wise and character-wise than Psycho-Pass. The series (both seasons of it) is more than 15 eps, but GitS is the goto series when it comes to crime/sci-fi/psychological/mystery. It's not exactly recent, but GitS is highly popular, so finding merch shouldn't really be an issue. | ||
