EDIT Also, are there any groups subbing the DVD releases of it? I heard it's worth checking them out to see the eps in finished form. /EDIT On March 12 2010 14:15 FragKrag wrote: Watching Kare Kano at the moment. I tried to find that a while back, and could only find one subbed version that had horrible timing and had half of what was being said not translated. it's like they fired the animators after episode 18 though because episode 19 took a huge, huge nosedive in animation quality ;_;

And yes, as an owner of the blu-rays, I'd have to say that it was worth dishing out the money. That and I just need to praise it so I feel like my money is well spent. And I finally got around to looking at the spring chart ;o. Watch Senko no Night Raid - A-1 is a pretty good animation studio. Plus, no source material, so I expect GREAT things (hopefully). Iron Man - When you give Madhouse free license to interpret Iron Man any way they freaking want, good things are bound to happen. I expect something interesting to come out of this. Rainbow - Art and storyline has got to be one of the most appealing things I've seen in a long while. Wow. Sarai-ya Goyou - The staff for this one looks sooo good. Plus it's MANGLOBE!!! Angel Beats! - Where is KyoAni or Toei? PA Works? Sounds just as good ^_^. CANAAN had seriously top notch animation, and I expected no less here. Hetalia - I don't need to say anything. xxxHolic Rou - No explanation needed. Eden of the East II - Paradise Lost- See above description Trigun Badlands Rumble - See above description. King of Thorn - 6 Volumes in 100 minutes? SOLD! Round and round the roulette goes, what will be cut out no body knows! Interested Yojo-han Shinwa Taikei - The description has me intrigued. I haven't seen too much of Yuasa's work, but it's Madhouse, so I'm going to keep an eye on this. Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou - ... I'm listening Mr. Director of Boogiepop Phantom and Mr. Storyboard of Death Note. I have a feeling that this will turn out to be like Shakugan no Shana given its premise :/ Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru - I sense potential. Both for a good story and also for yaoi. I'll see how this turns out... Black Rock Shooter - Lol. Wat. *_* Armored Trooper Votoms - Phantom Arc - 26 years after the original aired? I'm interested. Tales of Symphonia - Tethealla-hen - ^_^ Four episodes won't be enough, but eh, whatever. Break Blade - Premise sounds lame, but it's Kara no Kyoukai style, so I'm interested. Bungaku Shoujo - What. WTF @ the premise.

Any others I shouldn't miss? For this season, Nodame Cantabile is the only sure-fire one on my list. Sora no woto and Durarara I've heard are fun. Katanagatari is good? The art looked interesting on the chart, but the story sounded so dull. Man...there really wasn't much last season...

I never felt that way during the entire series. I thought it was a great anime, one of my favorites in the last few years. The movie took a different approach was awesome as well. Anyways, i cant beleive theres going to be more of Ikkitousen. That anime is so bad ![]()

WTF @ the premise. For Break Blade and Bungaku Shoujo, refer to like 10 pages back when bearbuddy and I started talking about the two. Depending on your tastes, it'll go from average to freaking awesome. Break Blade will be a bit weary for those not into mecha in any way though. Bungaku Shoujo is just quickly climbing up on my list of favorite light novels ever. Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi's rankings might be kind of screwed up, but you don't see a non-moe female character up there at the top (2008) for no reason, Touko-senpai is amazing. Spring season will probably have me end up just checking seiyuus and going from that, doubt I'll be watching all that much until a while in.

Unfortunately the only one that just jumps out at me this season is Angel Beats, as compared to multiple ones for previous seasons :/. Well, I await the new season!

Should prolly take into consideration that everyone in the series were still kids, even Holland.. well he was a teenager. But i still enjoyed it. Anyways, everyone has their preferences -_-. By the way, i recommend people watch "Now and then, here and there" and "Aoi Bungaku" if they havent seen them, just watched them recently. Very good shit ![]()

![]() So I just finished Kare Kano + Show Spoiler [Kare Kano] + Towards the beginning I really loved it, the characters, the entire mood of the anime, but then it started getting rocky around 14-15 with two wasteful recap episodes. The character development of the cast was amazing, and what you would expect from the studio that produced Evangelion, but instead of breaking down the characters like Evangelion, Kare Kano brought the characters up from the depths. Ep 18 had disappointing animation, but overall the plot was decent. The really rocky episodes were sadly the last two. 25 was complete filler and 26 was terrible animation along with a completely confused storyline T______T The music was a high point as well. Really fit the moments, and was quite subtle at times. Still, the series seemed really underproduced and raw. I wish they didn't waste so much on filler, and actually ended the anime well. I still gave it a 10/10 as you can see here http://myanimelist.net/animelist/FragKrag&order=4&status=7&tag= I'm not sure if it deserved it, but I felt really good after each episode. Really nice anime if you can get past filler and stuff.

Unfortunately the only one that just jumps out at me this season is Angel Beats, as compared to multiple ones for previous seasons :/. Well, I await the new season! Break Blade is definitely one of the better mecha series as of late. Not much of that melodrama/psychological/teenage insecurity stuff. Just more pew pew and slash slash like what giant robots should do. The spring titles are filled with a bunch of new series I've never heard of and continuation of stuff I do not particularly like. I think I'll watch the first episode of the available unknown titles and go from there. Still waiting for Mago and hoping that it won't be butchered to pieces. On manga's side, this week has been pretty awesome from all the updates on projects I thought were dead and from the rapid releases of some of my favorite titles. Blood Alone continues with sexy colored pages of Chloe, Kamen teacher comes back with a couple of chapters, The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer swings into gear, Otoyomegatari dazzles with intricate artwork, and Addicted to Curry is still very much alive. Now, if only Vinland Saga would come out, as well.
