@ kokoro connect + Show Spoiler +how many more phases do they end up going through? we're on phase 3 now and it seems theres still some LNs to go
also I really liked the outro, thought having the kids watching them sleep was smartly done

I just started watching Accel World and found it pretty interesting. At episode 6
+ Show Spoiler +Was hoping the girl would die, or the Taku would lose his power. Hoping the anime is not too light hearted!

+ Show Spoiler + Don't worry. I won't spoil anything, but it definitely is anything but light hearted. At least...not that I know of yet (and I'm all caught up).
In other news, Jinrui Wa Suitai Shimashita just finished yesterday, and for a guy who just got into watching anime (thanks to everyone who pointed out Fate/Zero for me in the thread!), I was throughly impressed. But the feeling of knowing there won't be any new episodes out for awhile (or never) makes me really sad. Also finding a good wallpaper based on this show is damn difficult.
Thoughts: + Show Spoiler + While the show did have it's more lackluster moments, the entire series overall was really good. The last episode however, kind of killed it. Not enough fairies. Would have been better somewhere in the middle of the season, but then again, with the show kind of dedicated to being out of order and totally wacky at times with its chronology, I can bear it. It seems as if the show was going backwards in time, with the pilot being the most recent and everything else being the backstory that fills in on the pilot. Also, the fairies morbid mortality and outlook on life combined with their perpetual smiles and love of sweets has to be one of the most jarring juxtapositions I've ever seen/read in my life.

The entire point of that story was to have not enough faeries, that they kinda fucked up with the stuff they decide to cut in animating it is another matter.
EDIT - and my face when AW isn't light hearted.

Burst Points is serious business! + Show Spoiler + Just LOOK at Chiyu's despair when Nomi starts using her and try saying that it's light hearted T-T

What's the name of the song used in Macross Frontier Now or Never AMV? I thought it was Now or Never, but I can't find it.

I somehow lost my interest in Jinrui Wa Suitai Shimashita...it started so interesting but somehowit just didnt keep me wanting to watch it...I may look into it this weekend again to see if I have missed sth special...

Just watched the 23rd episode + Show Spoiler +At first, I thought you guys were sarcastic or something, suggesting that things will become more serious... OH MY, WHY DO THESE ANIME CHARACTERS KEEP CRYING?!@#!%@! ITS SO ANNOYING. Sure, I felt for Haru because he was bullied - I really hate bullying and I think it was overall well portrayed. But everytime he gets a chance to stand up, he fails miserably and starts crying. WOW WOW WOW. Stop crying. Actually, every anime should stop abusing tears. SO ANNOYING. Hard decision in life doesn't mean you cry...
Hyme - Black Lotus is the strong point in this serie, I feel. Her legion members are way too weak compared to her (she has her weaknesses too) At first, I disliked the episodes at the beach. But then, I realized how much more depth her story holds compared to the stagnated whiny Haru. She's been in AW for so many years, and it seems like she did some crazy stuff aka betrayals in pursuit of her own goals. I definitely see a potential of exploiting these aspects of her life.
If that Noumi guy doesn't get defeated, but instead is forgiven + joins the Black Legion.. I seriously don't know how I'll react... I'll probably be disappointed at how many animes are always happy-going. Niko's "parent" got a good ending imo. He did bad things, got corrupted. But in the end, got defeated and realized that AW isn't everything, and that Niko can still be his friend.
Overall, I liked AW alot. I would be lying if I said otherwise. But the things that got me so interested in the universe aren't explored more (Black Lotus story, the fighting in the world, legions war, more Yellow legion plots). At some point, AW universe felt unforgiving (especially with all the bullying going on in the early episode in the real world). AW felt like an exact copy of their real world, people doing everything they can to reach goals, people who won't hesitate to defeat "newbs" for their own satisfaction, etc. And then eventually, everyone became likable (hell, even Ash appears to be a good guy after all!!!). I was hoping that since every players were lacking something in real life, they wanted to make it up in the virtual world. I would personally be very disappointed if the moral of this anime turned out to be : hey, even if we are different in the real world, even if we suffered alot, we can all get along in the virtual world, thus also in the real world!

By the way after watching FSN anime I finalluy got around to playing the game(aka reading). Have been going through it non-stop for about a week now, it's incredible how horribly the anime destroyed it. Many of the characters I hated in the anime as shallow I have started to like reading through the Visual Novel, especially the protagonist.
Muv-Luv Alternative anime nowhere in sight, eh? ._. Depressing... Here's to hoping that one day they make an anime off it that doesn't completely destroy the mood of the Visual Novel. Especially if they use the original soundtrack of the game it's a guaranteed ~9.5+ average anime. It should be especially suited for an Anime because it's single-route, making everything really easy. Needs to be as long as Fullmetal Alchemist, though, but it'd be worth it for the company... The all-ages version of the VN completely demolishes the competition in even japanese charts.

Please tell me how you would make an MLA anime that doesn't start out with Extra, and then Unlimited. I think Unlimited could be good/fine as an anime but lol Extra. We'd have to get through that to get to any TSF:s, (aaand then go through the whole unlimited. which would be ok but not much more) which would turn off a loot of viewers. The Extra/Unlimited stuff is just too important to be skipped, but...
Don't get me wrong, I'd love a good anime adaption but I don't see how they'd do it.
