I'm personally somewhat ambivalent on Evangelion. I thought it was decent and quite alright for people new to anime to introduce them to perhaps marginally less mainstream stuff, but overall I found very few parts of it enjoyable, if any. | ||

Oh, and if anyone is familiar with the source material of the MLA:TE anime, I have a question or two: + Show Spoiler + How many references/characters to/from the MLA VN will there be? I'm always a fan of seeing things set in the same universe/time/etc have characters from each other/events mentioned, etc. So far we've seen Yuuhi and some Japanese general mentioned Sadogashima, I assume that we'll a least hear about Sadogashima being literally erased from the map... would be odd if it wasn't mentioned... but anything else? IIRC MLA:TE ends at/before the original hive mission, so Sadogashima and the coup d'etat should at least be mentioned, using common sense... | ||

Eva is often cited as being a deconstruction of mecha anime. So while some elements of the show will be markedly different from other mecha shows (Shinji's characterization, for instance), it's not really a "take-that". | ||

Sunday early morning on MBS and night on Tokyo MX (JP time). The problem is it's one of the anime where high quality raw is somehow really hard to secure, sometime take days. | ||
