I can't believe I recommended Hikaru no Go as a realistic anime,but I guess it's ok if you can look past a certain character. It should be an enjoyable watch anyway. | ||

The worst thing about Gundam Wing was every character other than Duo was a robot, and had no personality or anything. The characters in SEED are tons better. Not to mention that kids in fighting a war in a Gundam show dates all the way back to the original Gundam, then Zeta, then Double Zeta, etc etc. If you want something like Gundam Wing, but better, watch Gundam 00. | ||

I don't think there's a single good Gundam series. I think the best series by far is 08th MS Team, but even that got really fucking stupid and preachy by the end. The series is good for cool robot designs and big battles with lots of stock animation. I have yet to see anything from that franchise with even remotely original characters or anything of the sort. Please don't expect anything other than that... T_T | ||

PH, to go as far as to denounce a franchise altogether repeatedly, come on man, really? The first time you say it, sure, okay, you don't like the gundam storylines. I respect your own tastes. But as you've said, you've been through this several times already. Aren't you purposely getting in the faces of the fans? | ||

T_T Yeah, its hard to have remotely original characters when Gundam pretty much invented every character archetype used in Real Robot animes. | ||

Are you seriously telling me people like Heero and Trowa are "realistic" and "mature" characters? Those two specifically had absolutely no personality at all. Were Quatre and Wufei realistic characters? What about Treize? Was he realistic? Or Char- I mean Zechs? He is realistic now? And I guess a kid who had been thrust into the middle of a war to fight and kill, and ends up crying and shit over his situation is really over-the-top. And too many of them? There isn't anything new or out of the ordinary for the amount of kids there. I mean shit, there were like 3 orphaned 5 year-olds running around White Base in the original, in addition to Amuro and the rest. I just can't get over you thinking Wing was so great, and then criticizing SEED for basically retelling the original Gundam series with pink explosions. | ||
