If you enjoyed Trigun, and especially if you enjoy Vash as a character, read the manga. You owe it to yourself. It's my personal favorite manga of all time, and is the anime and then some.

Seriously, I was just shaking my head the entire time reading that chapter, it was almost painful. + Show Spoiler + Agreed, pretty much right on there. I was thinking exactly the same thing. The random insertion of such figures as Gandhi, Marilyn Monroe, Einstein, Jesus and the Virgin Mary apparently, etc etc really gives off the feeling that he's trying to be deep and meaningful when unfortunately it's anything but lol.

Cowboy bebop is the obvious suggestion, but I guess you've seen it. Rouroni kenshin is amazing too, but not very similar.

Rurouni Kenshin is similar in the fact that Himura and Vash are very similar characters, but the stories are pretty different thanks to the supporting cast and setting. If you like Vash as a character, though, Kenshin is a good choice.

Desert Punk Also ..Kenshin and Vashj might be playing goofballs with dark secrets but their backstories and why they act the way they do are completely different.

Similar in that they both play idiots, but are actual badasses who want nothing more than peace and to never see someone die as long as they can help it. They act similarly in the context of their stories, which is why I compare them. Of course the backgrounds are wildly different, but it's a nice connection point.

Gungrave Trinity Blood is EXTREMELY similar to Trigun actually. But... bad taste regarding author + Show Spoiler + T.T Violet Best steampunk anime ever is LastExile (just ignore the new one).

What's the weight for first-second-third votes? 5-3-1 or 3-2-1 etc?
