Well I never liked you either, sod off!
+ Show Spoiler +...or so I would have liked to say. It's that bad, eh? Well, it can't be helped. One must be allowed to turn off the brain once in a while, right?

K-ON is great because of Azu-nyan.

Cross Channel and Rewrite are great, I haven't read Aura or Kobayakawa so can't say anything about that. Then he has some other random eroges but those aren't particularly as interesting.

Emnjay sucks.
K-ON! sucks.
Your friend is likely a lost cause. Try recommending him something random "grimdark" though just to be sure.
|
I like these three sentence posts.
We should keep doing this.
You watch K-ON for no other reason than to smile at nothing.
|
K-On is really cute and adorable.
I know that overall it doesn't have the best plot or whatever.
But it brings back memories of highschool and it's got the power of friendship.
|
I've never watched K-On
I try to stay away from moeblob stuff
No time to watch anime anymore as it is.
|
K-On! is vacuous and dull.

Maybe you should recomend your friend Soul eater, Another or HellGirl(it might work, cause after watching deathnote i was a bit fascinated with hellgirl, then after 3 seasons of cluster fuck, stupidity, boredness i was about to give up and commit seppuku, but it might work if he is into those kind of things) also hellsing of course, if he likes fights

He's watching/watched Bleach, One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note and Ghost in the Shell. He says he likes OP and Bleach for the fights, but can't stand Naruto / Gintama / Ghost in the Shell. Typical "Death Note best anime EVAR" type of guy. Also doesn't like mechs too much, so he's not keen on seeing Code Geass and the like. Apparently he's also sensitive about plot structure? Plotholes can ruin an anime for him, he said.
I recommended Darker than Black and he finished it, but said he didn't like it too much. Not enough fighting and many plotholes. Gates being not explained, the last ep. not making any sense etc. I tried to fill him in as best I could, but it has been a long time since I watched DtB and don't remember all of it.
Can any of you guys recommend something for him? I'm running out of ideas. Hmm maybe if he likes One Piece he would like Fairy Tail? Also, maybe hes actually just trolling you, saying that hes sensitive to plot structure ^_^

"Hyouka is one of the best and my favorite anime of this season. It is incredibly well written, laden with symbolism, juxtaposition, themes and wonderful characters. It is considered a Mystery anime, but the mysteries taken on are strangely trivial but complex in their own right. The mysteries are not there for mysteries sake either. Each "case" has something to add to the overarching plot and characters development. Along with its great writing and story we are treated with great production quality and animation. Although the setting is mostly in High School, there are interjections of beautiful symbolic visuals that are used punctuate the emotions of the characters."
Is Hyouka really that good? Should I be watching this?

Also I find it funny that a guys random friend is getting more recommendations than that guy asking what to watch with his mom dying of cancer.

Regarding Hyouka, I like it, some do, some don't. But some of the mysteries were pretty bad.
