Just watched the two OVA episodes of Denpa Teki Na Kanojo. Damn, I love stuff like this. Such a shame it's just these two episodes and that's it. No third episode, no anime series. Makes me sad, I want more of yummy crazy people... I know, right?! It's so so good and I actually hate that I cannot get more of it. Apparently there is even a book which revolves around Yukihime too, really want to read that cos she seemed interesting + Show Spoiler +even though we didn't get to see much of her in action in the second episode. Edit: Looks like time to pick up the stuff that (pre)airs today for summer season.
Yukihime book? I want it, she did seem pretty cool. Any idea of whether it's translated to english or not?

Quite sure it wasn't, better poke Ecael about it though. He knows best when it comes to books.

If you want a good show, you can do better. Its a train wreck.. if you want a good experience or to get something out of it... avoid it at all costs. I remember seeing the end of it and asking myself "WTF did I just see????!?" Just like.. wow. Higurashi no Naku koro ni Kai was shocking, graphic at times and disturbing... but I don't know.. not that baseless. If there is one thing that can be said about School Days, is that its ending was the only "logical" ending in any anime of that genre. I really enjoyed it, non troll/ironically/w\e but seriously for that reason. School Days totally underrated as a real anime yo~
The only bad thing about School Days is the character designs. It's fairly well written, has an interesting take on the harem genre, and has the best executed ending I've seen in a while. The true troll is that Summer Days will never be animated.

It's not. Someone started a translation, never finished a chapter. Chances of it being translated are low.

I want to watch another show of that quality, it doesn't necessarily have to be similar plot wise to Avatar but I'm looking for a show of that quality and with an overarching plot.
I realize it is not anime but it is similar. Do you know about legend of korra? edit: Also what tabbris said, FMA: B is even better than A:TLA in many aspects. Legend of Korra is not good. I spent my time laughing at it while booting up Fate/Zero. It might not be to the experienced anime watcher, but from epicopter's post I take it A:TLA is the only show he's seen, or at least one of the few. And since LoK is the closest thing to TLA, might aswell try it out.
I've seen Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion and all of Miyazaki's stuff. When I like anime, I love it, but it's hard to find good stuff.
I went into Avatar with no expectations, I thought it would be a silly children's show but the show had a ton of heart, dealt with serious issues and when it was silly it was genuinely funny.
I was even going to buy the series on Blu-Ray and then I found out it isn't available in blu-ray and now I'm sad.

Yep, the beauty of avatar is that it's a show for kids but there's alot of adult stuff in there too, making it watchable for all ages. Judging from what you've seen Code Geass might be right up your alley too! But I'd start with FMA: Brotherhood , that's just such a damn good show.

Recommend me something along the lines of Higurashi or Denpa Teki Na Kanojo, preferably with as crazy people as possible and nothing supernatural. If it exists. I just enjoy crazies.

Watched half of it, just makes me hate the MC. Maybe I should watch the second half to + Show Spoiler +see him get his head chopped off , but meh, it was sort of invalid from the start since I already knew exactly how it would end.

Serial Experiments Lain maybe?

I've heard good things about that one, I think I'll check it out. Thanks for reminding me of that one.
Arcana Famiglia 1 + Show Spoiler + Nothing amazing, but I'm a fan of free for alls and the setting is rather nice. The first fight was pretty fun, I loved that car. Can probably get pretty entertaining, I think I'll watch more of it.
Edit: wait, if I could just watch that one ^^^ then where is Tari Tari and Muv-Luv?? Oh well, patience Maxie, patience...

IIRC she's the girl from Haruhi, that was super-nice class president and fellow Yuki alien, who turned wanted to kill Kyon (?) for whatever reason and Yuki had to help him.
You could also put up Chiffon Fairchild there, cuz she's canadian also...

I know it has been said a hundred times but... Go watch FMA: Brotherhood, it's really good. I am just like you, most anime's I don't like but when I find something really good. I just can't stop watching.
