I enjoyed them a lot more than most of the anime movies i've seen. Also Elfen lied, Gantz are good Supernatural animes, oh and I cant believe you haven't seen Gintama! Boo!~ Wait, oh I didn't even notice he didn't have those! I can't believe you haven't seen elfen lied, gantz OR gintama haha
I'm not sure how good gantz anime is...I heard it wasn't so good (I like the manga though), but elfen lied and gintama are must-watches~ gintama is hilarious LOL, and elfen lied is a very good psychological/thriller

D'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that was so sweet <3 A bit late to the party, are we? I'm a huge fan, there are some other people around here who played and enjoyed it. Personally, Lilly will always be my bias, but that's just me.
Figured that I'd seen KS mentioned enough in this thread that I ought to go back and read it. My first VNs were heavyweights like Clannad and FSN ^^;

You apparently haven't seen the Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin either. Might wan't to check that out. e: You seem to be missing Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind too. Atleast can't ctrl+F it from your list so you could watch it just for the sake of it. Most likely you like it, same guy made grave of the fireflies.

I dunno, if you haven't seen it yet, 5 cm per second? That's a famous and beloved one. Personally I thought it was ridiculously depressing but it's still a poignant and overall good movie I guess, really very famous and lots of people love it. I still thought the ending sucked though.

Hey anime discussion thread. I have been lurking here for a bit but don't think I have ever posted anything. Anyways I have a question. I recently watched Bakemonogatari (which was awesome) and Nisemonogatari (which was good but a little disappointing). My favorite part about these series were the unique art style and awesome dialogue. However I am having trouble finding something similar, any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time!

Katanagatari! Must be similar enough, right? And it's awesome.

I would try it (have a long flight transit time awaiting me), but I don't think I can find DDL of it. Too old.. Any good anime (that has DDLs) to recommend? I've watched many.. haha.
Noein is like 5 years old or something, maybe a little more, you can find torrents easily. As for DDLs, I have no idea. I use a private FTP server, that has pretty much ever series ever subbed, so I dunno where other people find stuff.

Gyo recently came out, it's quite romantic and has that realistic slice of life feel to it. It'll definitely effect you in a variety of ways, it's a very touching anime.

Got a few from them, don't particularly enjoy reformatting my computer to get rid of them. DDLs from fansub groups have been pretty reliable thus far.

I've been reading and seeing on rankings everywhere that Gintama is one of those masterpieces of TV Animes. However after watching the first 10 episodes I couldn't quite get into it ... thought the story was a bit too randomly built and the characters didn't get to touch me yet. Now I know the anime is much longer than that but I'm basically wondering when it starts getting epic? Is it meant to be a great adventure like most Shounen (such as OP, Bleach, HxH, Naruto etc ...)? Will it make me cry like I cried over a burning boat or a dead Prince of Britannia?

I didn't like the series at first because Catherine (the cat burglar) was fugly (dumb reason, I know). I think it starts getting epic 20+ episodes in.. The series is too epic to pass over. Hilarious gags (constantly breaking the 4th wall), great action, awesome characters.

yes, gintama is a bad recommendation for that guy. most of the quirky dialogue and word play is the source material's influence on bakemonogatari, but a lot of the screen effects is due to shaft, so stuff like sayonara zetsubou sensei, ef a tale of memories, arakawa under the bridge, denpa onna-- have similar presentation and cinematography
