This show sure does like to troll, lol. Part of me goes "wtf are you serious?" at these new twist, but then another part of me goes "This is Aquarion, of course its not serious".

So first, Genesis fools me into thinking that Apollo was Apollonius. And did a really fucking good job convincing me of that. If I remember specifics more from that show, maybe they convinced me enough to call BS possible retcon here. But no, turns out Apollonius had a dog, and thats who Apollo was.

Then I was thinking that Apollonius was the Legendary Aquarion itself. I mean, who else could he be? Definitely not Fudo! He was just some random guy in the OVA, and hinted at being the original 3rd Aquarion Pilot 24000 years ago! But nope, turns out Fudo was actually Apollonius! That was the part where my mind exploded.

Looking forward to seeing the conclusion. I wonder if Mix will ever get her tits back.

Also, the FSN VN, HF route explains a bit more (referenced in this episode) about how Kirei wishes to allow Angra Manyu to be born into the world

Hayate's so good at dodging cameras lol. For some reason, Ruka's manager reminds me of a much older version of Haruharu. Her having already been at the apartment was pretty predictable.

On a side note, the Yukari mansion. It seems like it's still haunted by a ghost from Yukari's past. Although I do hope it isn't something like that ghost cat. (Admittedly, the Izumi fanservice was funny.) Maybe it's something to do with that photo of the 28th from ages ago?

Okay, so lets start from the very beginning, 24000 years ago. We have Apollonius and Touma, two gay angels who wanted to destroy humanity. They were lovers. However, eventually Apollonius falls in love with a human woman, and betrays Touma and the Shadow Angels. Btw Apollonius has a dog.

Now we go to 12000 years ago, which was the story of Genesis of Aquarion. We have the main character, who is named Apollo. He gets caught up in the fight vs the Shadow Angels, who have returned. It is heavily implied that Apollo is Apollonius. The leader of the humans fighting against them is a guy named Fudo Gen (serves the exact same role then, as Fudo Zen does now). It is heavily hinted that Fudo was the 3rd original Aquarion Pilot. At the end, Apollo gets Touma, the Shadow Angel who was in love with Apollonius, to help him out to hold the World together at the end, by getting him to Gattai with him.

However, when they Gattai'd, Touma realizes that Apollo isn't actually Apollonius, but actually his dog! Then he realizes that Apollonius was ACTUALLY Fudo, who had just been trolling everyone the entire show.

Now come to the present. Apollo/The Dog is reincarnated again, this time as Amata/Kagura. Fudo Gen/Apollonius is back as Fudo Zen. Touma is back as Mikage. Mikage is really fucking salty about getting trolled/betrayed by Apollonius (Fudo) not once, but TWICE. So he makes it his mission to fuck with everyone, as what you have seen in EVOL.
