and yea ZnF is right, if GC were to go into sol/school romance mode for a couple of weeks (but why would it) Hare has a major role to play as forever friend zoned. She'll always give the winner a real run for their money but you know shes never going to win.

You mean why Ayase is overwhelming popular? Its because she is the best developed character. Inori is no more than an Ayanami Rei, and Hare is an extremely boring childhood friend character who never does anything. Tsugumi is the token loli, and hasn't gotten much development at all. Ayase is like the winner by default.

Yea I guess thats fair. Although personally the developement wasnt particularly appealing to me. But thats the thing isnt it, its more a case of winner by default. The way you describe the others she's the only developed character.

There is 12000 years between Genesis of Aquarion and EVOL. So it helps to have watched the original, but honestly it isn't really required due to the time difference.
