And yes, most likely Asia will be the Bishop piece, it is only fitting. Edit: After trying to watch the first ep of R-15 for the fifth time, I finally did it. I really wanna like the show cause the Reika chick (pink-haired photographer) is so incredibly hot. But the show is just so painfully bad that it makes it very difficult to watch. But on the other hand, the way the artwork is done is exactly how I like my anime. I hate when things always turn out like this. But fck it, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Wo....people actually watching this? yea why not ? I watch one of them arbitrarily every other season or so. Actualy DxD is based on a LN so the plot may be more sophisticated than you give credit for.
The majority of actual LNs have paper-thin-to-nothing-at-all plots.

Im not exactly sure whats happening in the story yet, they seem to give us action first then answers later. But thats what got me hooked. They did a good job with that imo.
Artwork is beautiful as always. And the music, imo, is one of the best I heard in anime yet (almost as good as Chihayafuru). Everytime they cue the music during an inspirational scene it hits the spot just right.
Cant wait to see how they'll develop the red-head's story. Judging from what little we saw of her before, I can tell that Im gonna have no problem liking her. + Show Spoiler [rinne no lagrange] + Madoka should've been a symphogear with that awesome singing . Madoka and Lan were cute talking together near the end. Loving the soundtrack too. Something about it just makes me feel happy when I hear it. The legend thing sounds interesting. From what that guy in jailed says, those 3 legendary Vox's piloted by Madoka, Ran and that red-hair girl might destroy the world or something like that. + Show Spoiler [Rinne Lagrange 03] +Im really enjoying the soundtrack right now, it just fits in really well. And its so funny that one purple haired dude. "How do you choke something that doesnt even breathe?! Is it some sort of finishing technique!" Ever thought that shes just a complete newbie? Not catching the sword and just getting hit in the head, ahahahahaha
Rinne no Lagrange has been pretty simple so far. But we know that at some point things will go to shit.
In fact, I think:
+ Show Spoiler +We already know what is going to happen now. Based on Lan's fear, and what that blond guy is describing, a certain amount of sacrifice is needed in order to pilot a Vox. The sacrifice may be death (which is probably how Madoka's mother died), or something a bit more complicated.
In any case, I hope they won't fuck this one up like they did with Guilty Crown.

Incidentally shit like Nishio Ishin's stuff, Mardock Scramble, and Nasu Kinoko stuff all fall under that last 0.5%. Mardock Scramble doesn't even count as an LN under any qualification I think because it doesn't even have an anime cover :<

The reason I never got into it was because it's just really awkward to read about some kid who's addicted to a girl's drool. Now I remember I actually did read a few chapters. It's not the girl's drool that's special but the guy who awakens a very specific fetish of drinking her drool lol. It was too weird for me but let me know if an actual interesting story develops and maybe I'll give it a shot again.
Btw Onidere recently finished! (at least in terms of English translations) That got dragged on for far too long and had a stupidly rushed ending but at least I finally have closure on it. Happy ending is happy.

kk ill give you a heads up. Well her droll is kinda special. It seems that only certain people that has a special connection with her will be affected by her drool. A guy that liked her didnt get affected by her drool so she shot him down. But then when a girl got affected by her drool......I was totally anticipated some yuri action possibility but it seeems I was wrong. I will give you a heads up if the series does turn out to be worth reading.

I assume you didn't watch 0079-Z-ZZ-CCA then. And the MSV line? L.O.L I assume you don't even know what MSV stands for. It's Mobile Suit Variant. Suits that are completely modified from their original version shown in the show, or AREN'T SHOWN AT ALL. Man showing all those suits in the show is going to really revitalize that gunpla line. Oh wait. None of the UC gunpla released have been MSV.
Wow...for someone who's obviously knowledgeable about MSV to use the wrong V - for Variation, and the last sentence which is outright wrong - UC is where MSV originated from and always the reference point. A long list of MSV released in 1/144 scale plastic kits in the 80's attest to the tradition. Recently, the more obscure Zaku variants emerged in the MG line and surprise! Unicorn give those a good boost with their 5 sec of fame! How about you look up the Various MSVs that appeared in Unicorn then tell me how they are apparently not MSVs?
How very clever of you to assume I haven't watched the original series, and no, I've seen enough (in fact, I've only dropped Seed Destiny and never bothered with 00) to assert they are actually better than Unicorn's plot, which incidentally is about as coherent as your middle paragraph.
Unicorn has clumsily hit the sweet spot of some existing fans, with familiar characters and what not. Except its 6 episode OVA format the show still tries to recycle the same old tricks in a full length series. Simply put, non of its characters carried the weight to lift the show to its aspirations. The enigmatic Full Frontal who's metaphorically and by his own sorry admission, a shadow of the charismatic Char, Zinnerman became a role model, then stabbed his own foot with an episode of bipolar. Damningly, the more interesting dialogues came from minor characters, the bartender and mechanics rather than the mains, who continue to babble on the inane declarations of their intent, for god knows what purpose.

How is it any different from any Gundam show, in terms of being a long Gunpla commerical? Where the fuck is my HGUC Byalant Custom, Bandai?????
The commercialism started with Z, but at least each new ones had an episode or 3 to strut its stuff. Come 2010, it's all about exposure, all 5 sec of it, then Next Please. How can you except semi-realistic fights when the director has to go through like 12 suits in a 5 min spam? I blame the standing-stationary-getting-thumped-by-museum-pieces-Freddie-grunts as the bad bad outcome of commercialism. I complained after the first episode the fights has no suspense, because shit blow up when the director says so, and dodge beams when indefinitely when it suits otherwise. The trend continues.

I complained after the first episode the fights has no suspense, because shit blow up when the director says so, and dodge beams when indefinitely when it suits otherwise. The trend continues. A random mobile suit getting introduced for like 1 episode out of 50, and even then the battle involving said mobile suit not being that long, is somehow not comparable to a mobile suit getting a short scene in a 1 hour OVA? Gundam has always been a long Gunpla commerical, and you are complaining about it now?
They are grunt suits, and there aren't that many battles, what do you expect lol? Do you want each grunt mobile suit to get entire scenes about their own exploits, even if they are nothing more than cannon fodder? Plus, other than a few instances, there wasn't even a huge variety of mechs like how you are suggesting. When you already have about 1 hour for each episode, why the hell would you want them to focus on a bunch of old models piloted by grunts that we have already seen "strut their stuff" in past series? I'd rather them spend more screen time on the stuff that matters, like named characters. Unicorn isn't a documentary.
Episode 1 we had Jegans, ReZELs, Lotos, and Geara Zulus for grunts. Not exactly alot. Episode 2 was pretty much the same in terms of grunt suits. Episode 3, there were a few more inclusions, like the Dreissen or Gaza C, but big deal? 4th episode, the one where they referred to it as a "Mobile Suit" museum was even used by the plot, so I can't imagine what the problem would have been there.
I'll explain. Neo Zeon had practically been ran into the ground due to the first and second Neo Zeon Wars, right? They practically have no country to call their own, and even fewer places to actually manufacture mobile suits. They are left overs, and rebels. Everything they have are either left overs from past conflicts, or stolen Mobile Suits (Kshatriya and Sinanju). The fact that they had so many left over, ancient mobile suits was put into play during episode 4, where Neo Zeon on Earth attacked Torrington base with all of their forces. All they had were old, obsolete machines from past wars. That was honestly part of the appeal of that entire part. And then, of course, their age (and the state of Neo Zeon's strength) is demonstrated when the newer machines from the Federation begin their counter-attack, wiping them all out.
If they had a bunch of new mobile suits, that would have been complete bullshit. Or if they had a bunch of the same type of old mobile suits (lets say, a bunch of Zaku IIs or Doms), that would have also been bullshit. Do you remember the parts on Earth during 0083? The Zeon had to make do with a variety of old OYW models then. Remember the parts in the Desert in ZZ Gundam? Again, they had to make do with a variety of OYW models. Why should that be any different here?
And I probably said this when you talked about the first episode, but WTF@your complaints about the fight. 'Shit blows up when the director says so, dodge beams when it suits otherwise'? No shit, isn't that how it works in EVERY SINGLE ANIME EVER? Unless you mean something else, that is a really silly comment, and you can literally apply it to everything, even well done fights like Norris in 08th MS Team or Amuro vs Char in Char's Counter Attack.

No... And by UC I meant Unicorn.
MSV originated from OYW. They're designs by people like Okawara that didn't really fit into the show but were included in much of the canon side-story. And if you think MSV came before 0079, you're just plain wrong.
http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Mobile_Suit_Variations <-- Here's a list of every single MSV suit to date. Find more than 5 that have been in Anime and have been released as Gunpla.

Who said MSV came before 0079? Where? And who the hell refers to Unicorn UC? It's always Universal Century, just because an OVA came out recently doesn't change that.
As for kits...on where do I start, I'm just going to pick some that appeared in unicorn. As for those that didnt (*yet), multiply that by 4 - there are like 10+ Zaku high mobility types alone..and you think it's a coincidence that Gundam FA and upcoming Juaggu is being released?! Regardless of they appeared in unicorn or not, the entire MSV franchise gets a boost. For the following dozen, just notice the series name: Series: Gundam M.S.V. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN01310 - had its 5 sec fame in unicorn http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN01304 - ditto http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN01322 - ditto http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN01331 - ditto
MG http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN955521 - ditto http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN953119 - ditto
HGUC Too numerous to count..
As for the plot armour...I suppose animation budget was well spent compared to Zeonists who spend it all on prototype amphibious MA when they were living like rodents for years, Lolz.
What's the difference between 0080, 08MS and unicorn? The latter doesn't know it's a 6 episode OVA. The predecessors had story and characterisation to fit their format.

The movie aired in theatres around September, itll get ripped and subbed when the DVD's are out which I'd guess would be another few months at the least.
