Monster is a good mystery/thriller. Its something like 75ish episodes I think too, so it should keep you a while :D :D
edit: Oh an also give Cowboy Bebop a shot if you haven't already, its similar to samurai champloo but much more renowned/well known.

There's a banner at the top saying before you go and ask around, look at the recommendations chart first. Honestly, what we would be posting would just regurgitate exactly what was in that chart. Everything in that chart is mostly designed for gateway anime people. People should either read the OP or care enough to take note of the banner at the top if they don't just want automated responses like School Days.
Besides, there are always enough "sane" people to balance out the School Days banter anyway.

You are crazy, if people who ask for recommendations are too lazy to look at the chart for themselves then I'm too lazy to give them anything other than a recommendation that all anime watchers should watch.

Sane people? I was under the impression that everyone that regularly visits this thread is insane.  I think it would be better if we just said look at the rec chart. I do understand some School Days trolling, but sometimes it's just annoying.

The girl that was being killed that was Yuno (not the girl killed by the serial killer), was Yuno 1 killing Yuno 2. Yuno 2 had asked for I-can't-even-remember-his-name-anymore's name before she died, which would make sense since Yuno 1 kills Yuno 2 before the Future Diary tournament begins.

Yes, but it's also annoying when people come in asking for rec's and completely ignore the banner at the top.
