I don't watch a ton of anime, probably about 15-ish full series, but it's rare for me to actually like dialogue in any form. This show somehow managed to make conversations enjoyable, just came here to say that. The dubbed version came out recently (watched various subbed episodes, but didn't like the dubs) so I thought it was semi-semi-relevant. I want a season 3 right now.
might want to brace yourself.
Spice and Wolf is ok. Theres alot better conversation and plot driven shows out there. It has a unique enough setting but thats about as much as it has going for it as far as being interesting is concerned.
+ Show Spoiler +wonder if Kraft ever got kinky with the tail.

Meh, tbh you have your opinion and I have mine. I made it a point that I'm not just comparing it no anime dialogue, personally I think your missing a lot of subtly that I'm getting out of it, but I'm no willing to say your viewing was wrong by any means. This is all opinion until we break out analysis, which I seriously don't care enough about the disagreement to do. I simply find it a little irritating that you are stating it like a fact =/.
edit: ugh I regret even posting in this thread, clearly not my type of people, sorry about this.

You're judging someone based off of two lines, one post, and making generalizations about everyone in this thread? Really now? (Ok, 3 posts, out of 1.5k pages)
Interest is purely subjective, so yes you can state it as a fact (about yourself, since you're the only one who knows what interests you...)
I found S&W enjoyable but it didn't blow me away (for the record).

Spice and Wolf is awesome, dude. I love that show, especially the furry girl, and how intellectually stimulating the conversation is. Its almost as good as Code Geass and Death Note.

Alas, that's the only qualm I had with CG, which is that it delayed some of the best moments until too late into the season, forcing you to watch R2, which was a very Gundam-esque move. That was around when we should have realized that their lead writer was assassinated and replaced by Char Aznable.

In my opinion, Code Geass was good. I like it a lot (especially season 1 and the end of season 2). I don't really understand all the hate on CG, I understand how people can say it's not one of the best, but I still think it was quite good. ಠ_ಠ

Lelouche and Suzaku killed it. They were both pretty dumb characters that were driven by things that didn't make a lot of sense. That and the way the battles were conducted were based on archaic and outdated strategies that just made it really unrealistic.
And for all that I still gave CG an 8.....so yeah. It wasn't bad at all.
And Blasty, I WATCH ANIME INTELLECTUALLY YOYO.

I was actually just referring to the trolling that you would encounter aside from the reasonable comments that ecael or maybe maybe SL might make.
i didnt say it was a bad show nor do I judge you for liking it. I just expressed a different opinion, I probably watch more trash anime then all of ADT combined (again not saying S&W is trash) so it would be hypocritical to do it.
I didnt state it like a fact either. Do I need to put "I THINK" before every comment for it to not sound like Im trying to present something as empirically conclusive,
As for S&W it introduces a very different picture and to the one that is actually displayed. The author tries to be clever in ways he isnt equipped to handle. Its a cutesy show with an interesting concept handled in a very average manner, In my opinion.
I dont really care what subtlety I missed according to you and frankly if you try to explain at this point youll sound silly. nor do I advocate breaking out very deep analysis either, I dont feel like im equipped to do it so I dont and keep it relatively simple, hence my lack of aversion to trash anime.
It was as you say just an opinion id suggest you treat it as such and not be annoyed.
I on the other hand am annoyed at being chastised for expressing an opinion.

and yeah its awesome, you clearly missed the subtlety in it (no troll :p), and I liked CG aswell. Not enough to make keep watching Guilty Crown due to my general apathy for the genre and maybe if I watched better shows Id think otherwise. But for now I dont and I dont see it as a problem.

Tbh, if I enjoy a show and it's entertaining it's doing its job right. It doesn't have to be "intellectual" or anything. I'll watch Kanokon or whatever I feel like if I enjoy it and I don't care what other people think of my taste. If you enjoy something, then enjoy it. ^^
