Anyone else watching Chihayafuru? I'm not usually into Josei but I just love seeing the characters get fired up with that competitive spirit. When they say thank you for the match after a battle I can't help but think "No G no skill." As a personal note I've been feeling ambivalent about Starcraft these days... But after watching Chihayafuru I get that feeling like I want to be grandmasters again. | ||

Madhouse does a good job with the characters and dialogues... yea I avoid sports anime aswell but if its sports like mahjong or in this case karuta (which seems interesting enough) then the show tends to be more interesting. Id like to read the manga for Chihayafuru but I cant find any scans outside the first few chapters. As for Horizon im personally gonna marathon, it. I saw the first 2 epis like with S;G but I feel itll be better served that way. | ||

I'm on my third run through Samurai Champloo. I don't see how anyone who likes anime can't watch this one, it's so good (imo). I've tried to get more into anime, but I really can't find any that match up to Champloo, which is kind of disappointing. Not to mention Nujabes, Fat Jon, ect. doing the OST. I don't think they could have done this one any better than they did. | ||
