To be fair, Nana is cursed and if she sings for any anime other than Nanoha, it's probably an incredibly bad anime that would make anyone want to slowly burn all the characters, and possibly producers, to death. Latest examples: Blood-C, Dog Days. But since she's a perfect goddess of beauty, it evens out. JAM Project is superior in the sense of being more entertaining because it's a group and is able to reach a level a solo singer could never achieve. In terms of raw talent, Endoh and Nana are both really close imo. I really want to see their Eternal Blaze duet because it's probably the most epic performance to ever happen. Mysterion for rock or Etsuraka Camellia for enka. I'm really hoping for a new album soon (Museum II doesn't count). High Stepper gives me hope since it seems really unique for Nana.

Well Black lagoon is more mafia/international crime action than military but its definately one of my favourite in the Genre. There will be lots of Guns. Theres Gunslinger Girl but im gona take a shot and say youve probably seen it considering your primary interest. Gungrave is ok if all you want to see is mindless gun totting and bombs going of everywhere. Generic Im gona come back to life and kill everyone who fucked with me plot. Then theres bee trains Girls with Guns trilogy, Noir, Madlax and El Calzador. I liked Madlax the most but it has its ridiculous moments, Noir has a better plot. and uhh Phantom Requeim I guess is all I can think of. id avoid the DMC anime.

Sky Girls is in the same class as Sentenal's troll suggestions. GSG, Phantom, and the Girls with Guns trilogy are more action/drama than military. Black Lagoon is sick good (the best title you've been given imo) but not quite military either. I think denying space and mecha, then demanding tanks isn't helping. Given Japan's military tradition in the modern era, I doubt you're going to find a serious military anime replete with land armor warfare (guns and tanks and shit). Almost all military themes in anime from Space Battleship Yamato to LoGH stem from a nautical tradition, which naturally lends itself to space and mecha. The non-mecha, non-space anime that are actually military will be naval (Konpeki no Kantai, also Zipang, both alternative histories dealing with the WW2 Pacific.) The tank warfare narratives in fiction are mostly inspired by western histories; their depictions mostly western produced. Anime depicting Operation Overlord would be just as rare and odd as a Hollywood blockbuster on the Sengoku period. To be helpful in your constraints, there is one title called First Squad, written and voiced in Russian. (It's also quite divorced from what you'd expect from actual war films.) But really I recommend mecha. I'm watching 08th MS Team atm and it's already treated more military themes than Noir ever did (not that Noir is a poor show. It's a fine show of a different genre.)

A couple months ago, I heard a bunch of hype for it, so I checked out the MAL page. Written by Nisio Issin? I'm game. So I picked it up to see if it was any good. Nope. I read 39 chapters and came to the conclusion that it was absolute shit. Medaka Box was a shounen manga in all the worst possible ways. Panty shots galore, moralfagging left and right, FRIENDSHIP, EFFORT, VICTORY, you name it. One of the traits of the main character, Medaka, is that she is perfect. Literally perfect. She is the strongest person in the manga, and is never, ever wrong. Ever. This makes for the worst reading experience you could ever imagine. I suppose you could argue that she's some over the top parody of shounen heroes, but honestly, reading about her is not entertaining at all. By chapter 39, I was actually so disgusted by her actions that I dropped the series at this point. Fast forward to about a week ago, when I happened upon some spoilers around the 115 chapter mark. This was sufficient motivation for me to pick up where I had left off. Unfortunately, working through the first major arc still felt like a chore. There's only so much shounen a guy can stomach at one time. And then, the arc ended, and they introduced Kumagawa Misogi. ![]() Dat perma-smile Before I continue, let me list some statistics from the character popularity polls. Here's the first one they had: + Show Spoiler + 1. Medaka Kurokami = 832 2. Zenkichi Hitoyoshi = 554 3. Kei Munakata = 323 4. Youka Naze = 318 5. Hansode Shiranui = 307 And here's the second: + Show Spoiler + 1. Misogi Kumagawa = 3854 2. Medaka Kurokami = 992 3. Youka Naze = 905 4. Mukae Emukae = 835 5. Kei Munakata = 807 He's batshit insane, sadistic, badass, smart as hell, a magnificent bastard, and best of all, genre savvy. For instance, his entire arc is dedicated to him and his followers attempting to oppose Medaka and company as per the usual shounen formula. This means that the good team needs to hold a training camp in order to prepare for the upcoming battles, again as per shounen spec. So Kumagawa then pulls this. He also spends a fair bit of time ragging on WSJ (which Medaka Box is serialized in) and subverting their motto. In the sea of mediocre characters that is Medaka Box, he alone is interesting. The latest story arc has been particularly odd with the villain recognizing concepts such as the main character and plot armor. It's amusingly self-aware. In addition, it has the first legitamitely interesting plot twist of the entire series. And, of course, there is also more Kumagawa. Incidentally, there's going to be a Medaka Box anime in 2012 sometime made by Gainax. I personally won't be watching until Kumagawa shows up.

I have to say though, the latest constant referencing (especially this latest chapter) of main character stereotype stuff has been somewhat annoying. On one hand, it gets tiresome that the characters are so focused on something that only we as readers should be aware of. On the other hand, it's now become a crucial part of the story that can no longer be suddenly dropped. It's like the arc has been completely modeled around the audience's perception of shounen and the characters have to act according to our expectations but also attempt to defy them at the same time for their own sake. Really interesting in some ways; annoying in others. Also, there's got to be a limit to number of references you're allowed in a single page. And directly stating them in words is cheating to begin with. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

I just beat f/sn yesterday after 3 months because i play a lot of video games so i am not exactly knowledgeable with fate/series lore but did all of the smart and skilled people die in the 4th war? Because there aren't any cool, smart, or skilled people in the 5th, thats for true except for kirei i guess, but seeing as how he kinda loses twice...
