My friend has told me for the longest time to watch that.
Should I?
Also, welcome back Blasty! Time to see these pages fly by 100x faster.

If you like zombie pounding and don't mind the constant boobs/panties/sexual undertones, sure. I personally had no qualms watching and enjoying the anime. The boobs didn't "ruin" it for me.

I enjoyed Highschool of the Dead as what it was a harem =)

wouldnt call it a harem really. I mean there is no harem. 2 girls being interested in the protag doesnt qualify as harem. Cause the tsundere girl is going for the weapons otaku.
HOTD is ok imo. The tits where a bit overdone but that was thanks to the director who wanted to cram in as many boobs as possible. The Manga is still ongoing and worth a read. Though right now it looks like the authors are not continuing it? A new chapter should have been out in may but there is still no new chapter

dunno, highschool of the dead is REALLY honest from the first second on what you will get when you watch it, when people still watch it and then complain..... then people watch it because they want to complain, i personally hope that the manga continues and it gets more seasons!
similar to hotd is the manga "cage of eden" check it out if you liked hotd xD i want that animated too T_T (there is even loli AND traploli)

Only people who hate fan service with a passion hated HotD. I enjoyed the show, and the first couple episodes were really well done. I remember after watching the first episode of HotD got me so hyped for that anime, it was so good. I for one enjoyed all the fan service lol.
@Blasty: It isn't even close to a harem, wtf

Imo, you can't really have a serious plot when it's saturated with so much fan service.
Cage of Eden on the other hand has way less fan service and way more death, which makes it a much better story. The action slowed down a lot though and is only now starting up again. The loli trap is hilarious

Ao No Exorcist is sooooooo good

I agree on HOTD. The Fan service takes it from potentially amazing to a utter piece of shit imo.
Can't take the show seriously at all yet the director is clearly trying to be serious about the scale and nature of the infection.

The problem with HSoD is exactly that: the fan service overshadows the seriousness. It's like Kampfer set during a zombie apocalypse. All the action is just an excuse to be perverted. How am I supposed to take this scene seriously + Show Spoiler +If you accept the nature of the show, it's fine. But most of the hate came from people expecting it to actually be about zombies not panties and breasts. Also, welcome back Blast!
It like he is missing on purpose lolz but man that was indeed the best scene in HSOD.

the one where he drives the jeep with her over the river and she asks him "do you enjoy making girls wet"? If so yeah, best scene.

The action slowed down a lot though and is only now starting up again. The loli trap is hilarious I completely disagree. I don't see how they are related at all. The start of HotD is completely serious, with the characters attempting to escape their school at the outset of the zombie attack. They discover various things about the zombies, and eventually succeed in obtaining a vehicle and driving away. And then they arrive at a safe house and the show/manga proceeds to hand us a particularly silly bath scene, effectively killing the serious atmosphere. Service is fine, but the way in which it's presented in HotD kinda leaves something to be desired. There comes a point when the service becomes so ridiculous that it's nearly impossible to take the show seriously anymore.
The manga is marginally better at handling the service, but it has other issues. It's like the mangaka has no clue how he wants the story to progress, so the plot is advancing at a snail's pace. The manga is also basically on hiatus again, which doesn't help at all. + Show Spoiler [Manga plot gripes] +There are various hints as to where the plot will go, but the mangaka is very, very slow on acting on this. For instance, the random airport interludes have not yet been tied back to the main characters. Presumably they'll head there eventually, but god knows when that will occur.
Mr. orgy teacher is also one hell of a shitty antagonist. To date, he has done practically nothing of relevance to the plot.
