So far: boring, lack of any plot or significant character development and drags out the simplest ideas...yet why does it make me feel so happy? I love the simple life lessons every episode. And Alice-chan is the only one for me. I wish she was older than 14 though wtf Dude, it's a slice of life. Lack of plot is par for the course. And it's boring? Ima kill you. D: Yeah I realize lack of plot isn't a completely valid complaint for slice of life but most SoL at least have other stuff like comedy or romance to make up for the general lack of plot. Aria is just SoL and nothing else, which in turn makes it boring because they don't do anything and talk about the most mundane things but it's like a good kind of boring that fills me with happiness. I'm not entertained by it, but I enjoy it, if that makes sense.

Like over exaggerated facial expressions and the such. I've found 2 animes that i absolutely love, which are of course "Death Note" and the underrated Naoki Urasawa's "Monster". I enjoy these animes because of the deep character development and deep story as well as not having little (basically none) "sillyness". I was wondering if any of you anime experts could suggest any anime that is similar to the kind of stuff that i like or that you think i might enjoy based on what i previously mentioned. Also, I bought the OST's for Death Note and Naoki Urasawa's Monster...Amazing stuff if you haven't checked out the ost's.
Code Geass (yes, season 1 IS better than season 2 [happy now, CG haters >.>])....and do not fall into the trap that is School Days. Steins; Gate might also be a good anime for you.

I admit, I thought I quit watching anime already.
But now I am bored out of hell. Summer school is over, and I have very few things to do. So I thought maybe I should start watching anime again. However, I haven't much anime for more than one year, so I am uncertain of what has been good during the time I did not watch any shows. Any suggestions, the animegods of TL? I am mostly looking for watching completed shows.
By the way, my taste is diverse and I can watch most shows EXCEPT:
1. mindless ecchi shows (To-Love-Ru comes to mind) 2. extremely long shows adapted from shounen manga (Bleach comes to mind) 3. shounen-ai
Here are the things I am watching right now:
Blood-C Sacred 7

Figures whenever I want to edit my post it is on the bottom of the page~

I thought it was really good and unique. I think it's episode 12 that's my favorite for obvious reasons when you see it The show is pretty damn good. It a pitty that I am stuck with only being able to find terrible subs and voice out of synch but it still really good nonetheless. It can be confusing at time but the characters are all interesting. Some stuff I dont get is why + Show Spoiler + is that lesbian chick so attach to Araragi? Like I just started the snake girl arc and while walking to the shrine she was all grabbing his arm. Was the lesbian girl order by his girl friend to do that to test his trust or something lol? it's about as unimportant as asking why she's lesbian in the first place. she's...flirty? is the best word I can think of atm. it's part of her characterization, the same reason Hachikuji says Arararagi-kun (or is it on accident?!) Also, Hitagi is the best woman in the world, so she would never do that stupid girl trust test. Instead, she does reverse mind rape and if you don't treat her kawaii kouhai with love and respect, she'll...do things to you. unspeakable things. but you should really try to get better subs. the story is mainly driven by speech, so if the subs don't allow you to follow that well, you lose out on a lot =/ Indeed she does not disappoint the greatness of Tsundere. =] Eh, again, if you think tundra is tsundere, then sure. Incidentally, Hachikuji uses -san for pretty much everyone. About the whole thing with Kanbaru, you'll see Gahara-san's side of the reasons later on in the series. Far as Kanbaru herself goes, well, should be fairly obvious. Is it so he can have vampire power again to fight? How the hell did they break the contract.....I though the contract can only be broken if he dies or the arm is cut off. How is his girlfriend coming in solve it? Ugh.....the sub im getting sucks so bad. + Show Spoiler + Yes, her biting him allows him to get stronger, though the logistics are not explained. Perhaps we will find out in Kizumonogatari. Hitagi coming doesn't do anything, it's what she said. She said if Kanbaru kills Araragi, then Hitagi will kill her. Kanbaru's wish is something along the lines of "kill Araragi so I can have Hitagi-senpai to myself." Thus, a paradox is created and the wish cannot be granted. If she kills him, Hitagi will kill her (and trust me, Hitagi WILL do this in the most painful way imaginable) and the wish won't be granted. Since the wish is now impossible to grant, the contract is void. Yeah details will be explained in Kizu. The contract isn't so much void as that it was impossible for her to accomplish the 'real' wish that she had. Gahara-san took it a step further and allowed her nominal wish to come true. But as it did not work out the way the rainy devil would usually have it, we see that it leaves a bit of something behind. Oh that's right. I had forgotten about those details. Clearly I need to re-watch it. Again.

Just finished Baccano!
+ Show Spoiler +
I recommend it to you, Sufficiency. It's an awesome + hilarious action/comedy show that leaves on a cliff hanger every single episode so you won't be able to stop watching it till you're done -.-
The characters, plot, and setting are all awesome too: Prohibition era is probably my favorite part of US History to learn about

School Days is a good watch. And I recommend it a lot. After School Days you should take a look at the top of the page with the Mod note there you will find a decent list of animes

yea, the speech driven aspect of of it is just so ridiculously good but seems to put people off for some reason because they think nothing really happens, which basically means they didnt pay attention or had terrible subs..
cant wait for kizumongatari..
Ill probably go through it again I dont remember anything between hitagi crab and tsubasa cat clearly either..

+ Show Spoiler +I agree :D. Durarara is awesome, but I just find the characters/personalities of everyone in baccano so unique and perfect. (Miria and Isaac are freaking hilarious and Jacuzzi and Nice are pretty entertaining and romantic (lol) as well) The story is awesomely put together for taking place in so many different times.
In retrospect I didn't need to spoiler this... but oh well

Finished Bakemonogatari + Show Spoiler + It was interesting. The ending kinda made sense to an extent probably will explain why kinda in the movie that coming out I guess. I just want to ask, did the cat really wanted to kill Araragi? Or did it just plan to put Araragi in a near death situation to draw out Shinobu? :/

If you are talking about the second meeting, then still the former though it didn't care either way.
Or should I say she, hmmmm well distinction won't make any sense here anyway~
Bake concluded itself pretty well, didn't really think that you needed a movie. Though my stance is that things were omitted intentionally, thus we couldn't expect explanations for them. So all that really means is fuck Nishio Ishin for being such a troll with almost all his works.
