A anime series that i seldom hear about is "Now and Then, Here and There". Its pretty much the first one i watched and what made me atleast somewhat interested in anime. The series is only 13parts and is quite different from others (That I've seen at least). Highly recomended by me! Sorry if this has been talked about but its pretty hard to sift through 1250 pages of stuff :S

Southlight said it was something like super fat princess lips or something, but his trolling powers are not match for my interweb powers. Google says there is some Zoids game called "shirogane no juukishin", which translates to 'White Mystical Beast', or something. THEREFORE, Chou Juukishin would more likely mean "Super Mystical Beast" rather than "Super Fat Princess Lips". Southlight the troll is no match.

I've seen that. It was pretty good, although the main character pissed me off a lot, but I guess since that was one of the main points of the show, it's understandable. A lot of what we discuss is ongoing stuff, but sometimes someone brings up an older anime, usually one of the more popular ones, like School Days.

It a pretty under rated anime. It started off kinda slow and then it got pretty interesting later on though. I wish the main character would toughen up and use a real sword or something but he was pretty annoying most of the series. Oh well, I think close to the end, I eventually got used to it :/

School Days is definitely an anime that you have to watch for yourself to see. It's short too, and hey, it can't possibly be that bad.

But yeah, your only other options for humans vs alien bugs is something like Gunbuster or Getter Robo, which are shows really different from what you are wanting. I felt the pain you are going through too, when I had my MuvLuv Alternative Withdrawl after beating it. The starship troopers anime was one made in the US called roughnecks: starship troopers chronicles. You can find some episodes of it on youtube. Although some episodes have been taken down. i just finished watching fate/stay night, and it was pretty good. i thought the pacing was a bit off and the main character was a retard throughout the whole thing, but it was alot of fun to watch. what are some shows that are in a similar style?
