Now this is a respectable response. Hell, this helps me a lot too I'm going to record them so I don't forget, thanks!
just reminds me how I didnt take care of my myanimelist.net account for a long long time
I'm currently watching Nichijou, started Danpa Onna and I'm thinking of picking up Hana-saku Iroha and Ano Hana hugelongtitle. Would it be worth my time? I also saw Blasterion watching Steins;Gate but never played the VN. Would any of you also recommend that?

Steins Gate is awesome, Ano hana is a good drama piece, Hanasaku is.... worth watching kind of.

Hetalia is such a weird anime. it's like, the history of something (not sure wether it is the world, itali, germany or just ww2 in general after 26ish episodes), I love history but I feel this show takes the: let's explain it simply to a level where I want to throw up. the episodes are way to short to get much usefull out of each. it is at time so cute my head would rather be surrounded by a 1000 kittens all purring in perfect harmony than take the cuteness. yet... strangley enough... I enjoy it lol
in other stories: my craving for other series in the same style as LoGH led me to Tytania, which I so far must say has been a show just as averagely good as I think could be possible. Also every single person in this show, maybe with the exception of Fan Hyulik and Dr.Lee seems as dumb or dumber than the people LoGH got rid of in the first few episodes. that and the fact that I feel no real craving for Tytania's downfall in Hyulik makes the show rather dull...
sigh... why can't you be more like LoGH :<
before Tytania I watched Crest of the stars, which was suprisingly enjoyable at times, but was way to short... (might not be finished?)
anyways rant about animes not being as good as LoGH over

crest of the stars is followed by banner of the stars I, II and III <.<

This
I had my money on Kaiji being the best show this season since i really liked the first season but even though Kaiji S2 is still awesome it falls slightly short of AnoHana. Strange because i really didn't hear anything about it, i just randomly watched some first eps and AnoHana just stuck with me.
The only shows this season i watched were:
AnoHana Kaiji 2 [C] Money and soul and the possibility of control
AnoHana is one of the best anime's i have seen in a long time. I could go for a second season aswell but it would have to be a like 10-20 years into the future and no ghost elements. But even then i would be left wondering, would it really be that good? I mean they kind of resolved the conflict from the death of their friend so i would figure that from that point onwards things just kinda go great. No real conflict left is all i am saying, no grudge and nothing from their past that continues to haunt them. Might just be better as a one hit wonder.
As for [C] my opinion of it really went all over the place
pre release - expecting a lot
near release - expecting little
release - enjoyed it more then i thought i would
mid way in - it was decent, would finish it just cause i started
ending 3-4 episodes - gawd this is really dragging and it makes no sense at all
final episode - wtf? this show is terrible, it makes no sense but it pretends like it does
The only people that will find [C] enjoyable are the king-has-clothes crowd that will pretend to understand whatever nonesense is taking place.
Supposdly there will be one more episode but i really doubt it's gonna save this. It all ends on some cliche anime note.
"What is the point of living if there is no future!!"
*Kills off the entire population of Japan*
Thanks main character, that was great.
Ooh wait he doesn't kill off the entire population of Japan, he literally removes the entire nation from it's existence.
Edit: Turns out i didn't watch the whole episode (who putst the ending post a terrible ending song anyway?). So he doesn't end up killing the entire country...the story just makes an unexplained deus ex machina. I am sure the writer thinks he is being clever but the only thing that achieved is remove any doubt from the story about wich side is right.
Anime does it all the damn time, it's so annoying.
Pick A or B, let's say A means a thousand people die but your friends are safe or B wich means your friends die but a 1000 people live on. Why is it that at some point in every anime the main character decides to suddenly pick option C wich means everyone gets saved? And do these writers not understand that instantly destroys the entire proceeding moral question and makes the choices have no meaning.
Ano hana... you have ended well.... good stuff.....I am...impressed. i dropped [C] after episode 1, i found it not to my liking. hidan no aria was never picked up Steins Gate i want more SKET-Dan is worth my time Nichijou is great laughs Iroha is worth my time

1) Use spoiler tags
2) I think the vast majority of the thread recognised [C] as generic crap nad droped it from the get go
[C] is just Pokemon but with credit cards instead of Poke Balls.
@ Darth: Maybe if you're gonna quote a really long post and tell someone to use spoiler tags, you should at least put the really long quote in a spoiler tag.

I wish it was. Atleast a person can understand pokemon.
It always takes me a minute to recognize caster without her hood, lol.
<3 Sion. Best use of etherlite? I think so.
Oh god why
I wonder if she gets a VA.
:O
More Sacchin is always good.
Hype hype hype.
The scanlation of the Tsukihime manga finally finished. I have to say, for an adaptation, it's pretty good.
I thought the AnoHana ending was going to be kinda meh until about halfway through the ep. Then it got better. It was just a little too overdone for my taste. Still, of all the shows that aired this season, I think this is my favorite.
I'm also watching Aria, and it is awesome. So relaxing~
I'm also watching Gintama (200 episodes guh), and it is also awesome. Despite being a comedy, it manages to pull off some pretty decent dramatic moments. It handles this balancing act a lot more proficiently than, say, Angel Beats.
Edit 1:
On June 26 2011 05:19 Dingotrold wrote: Is Pokémon considered a legitimate anime? Cool game, but the TV series barely had any content (though I guess the same could be said for DBZ).
Why would it not be considered an anime? It's not like a show has to pass some arbitrary level of plot in order to be labelled as such. =/
Edit 2: Why did Usagi Drop have to timeskip? I could really care less about Rin's love problems. I liked the first four volumes because it primarily dealt with Daikichi and his experiences with being a parent/guardian, which I found genuinely interesting. With the timeskip though, now it's Kouki angst all the time. Goddamnit.

I guess no good reason.. I almost don't think of Pokémon as a japanese franchise, but I guess there is no reason not to.
