So yeah, the author guy ended up being a bigger loser than I thought he'd be. At least Ohana didn't lose her innocence \o/ So much sexy fanservice in this ep. Like bound and gagged Ohana :3 And all these sexy shower scenes: ![]() ![]() Also, Nako is my favorite now. She's awesome. ![]() That body D: Next episode had something about herons in the title. Maybe now we get to see that girl in the seifuku with the heron from the ED.

The writer is drowning, and suddenly we learn that Nako can swim? This felt a lot like deus ex machina. And the text message Ohana gets at the end of the episode made me groan. I just feel like this stuff could've been handled better.

Those seem like some super nit-picky complaints. This was the least enjoyable of the three so far, but I still understood that they're just building characters and story which I'm sure will now open up starting next week.

My complaints with the episode wouldn't be something as little as those things, but rather the episode itself. I wanted them to get more into the building relationship with the three girls, but I'm sure that will just be an all season sort of deal.

I don't watch much anime, so if you suggest something, chances are I haven't seen it. Any suggestions? It'd help if you gave any preferences/genres you want, and since you don't watch much, I don't know if you can finish a series before Madoka ending this Thursday. Bakemonogatari, Clannad, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha, 5cm per second (short movie), to name a few good ones off the top of my head. Ano Hana if you're looking for something currently airing, though that''s only 1 episode in. + Show Spoiler [Iroha 3] + Still not sure what to think of this, especially with all the fanservice this episode. Plot feels slower than needed, and the fake writer got way too much screen time. Well, I understand they're trying to build up character development, but it doesn't seem like anything important is going to happen for some time.

I have to disagree. The first FMA was terrible after they tried to finish the series without any canon material to work with. Brotherhood, on the other hand, was able to follow the manga exactly to the very end and thus did not have to pull any bs out of the air. I admit, I really enjoyed the original when I first watched it years ago, but the plot is such a joke compared to the canon version.

I can really see why AnoHana's being hyped, it's really good. Anyone else jump back on the Gintama wagon? The first two episodes of the 2011 season were really hilarious.

More or less agree, but I don't really care that one followed the manga closer or not. How closely the source material is followed doesn't make an anime any better or worse. Anyway, the first FMA anime started out strong, but ended WTF. Brotherhood was extremely good the entire way through. That's really all there is to it, IMO.

1. The show must have high spirited and/or incredibly stupid jokes and sillyness, like Naruto, Luffy, R. Zorro, Sousuke Segara (from Full Metal Panic) and Kamina (of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - a great recommendation i saw somewhere else on this forum). This criterion is absolutely essential. 2. The story should wrap up in any reasonable number of episodes. (max 50) But if it goes on and har high quality through out i dont mind it going on that much 3. I prefer animes that are historical/magic based/etc. over high tech/mech/etc. 4. Should be available to view online To give you a pointer, these are the animes i like and dont like: Like: One Piece, Naruto, Hunter X Hunter, (early) Full Metal Panic, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Cowboy Bebop, Great Teacher Onizuka Dislike/Didnt find interesting/Mediocre: Bleach (after their first visit to Soul Society), Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note (even though i saw em all, it was pretty boring), The dark medival assassin guy that everybody seems to love - cant remember his name, but after 10 ep. it still didnt catch on, Elfen Lied, Soul Eater (after 10th episode), Hajime no Ippo (after around 40th episode)
