Woa, didnt realize there was a new chapter. And this is probably going to end now that hes seen the mermaids. I seriously doubt oda would continue this forever...its probably over now.
(maybe 1 more with rehab comedy but other than that i dont think so)

i think sometimes you have to just be okay with it. Oda isn't exactly writing to us, hes writing to the japanese where the nosebleed thing is as cultural as 'put the seat down' in american culture. i dont really like it either, but i dont hold it against oda simply because i know that his target audience understands it fully and loves it.
in fact, i feel kind of bad that i dont appreciate it as much as others =[

One Piece is the only thing I regularly look forward too since Full Metal Alchemist ended. This arc looks so good so far.

Oops someone already posted... reading now !

that was an interesting chapter. I want to see who this Big Ma'am character is, lol
+ Show Spoiler +If Luffy really does end up destroying Fishman Island, that would be quite tragic, imo. Though the introduction of "she's never been wrong" leads me to think that Madame whatsherface is going to be wrong this time (or the prediction is going to be really close, but is going to be wrong in some major aspect.)

Im betting that shes being paid to pretend to see this future....
Anyways, chapter amazingly interesting. I hope sanjis joke is completely dead and he stops using it. Also funny how oda displays 2 completely unrelated cliff-hangars 2 chapters in a row o_O
+ Show Spoiler +I almost forgot about luffy and that question lol. I bet oda himself has that question lol

+ Show Spoiler + If you see her vision she just saw a figure wearing a strawhat. Now go back a few pages and see Van Der Decken poster he is wearing.... a strawhat. Problem solved? So my prediction for this arc is that van der whathisname will want to destroy fishman island and luffy saves the island

My thoughts exactly.
Hopefully Sanji's nosebleeds are out of the picture now.

Oda is a master of putting out chapters that introduce more and more new story treats without making the chapter itself boring. Thats what i find makes OP so interesting, he is always building up for multiple future events while keeping you in the present.

Is it me or is there a bunch of sexual innuendos in this chapter?
|
Props to Oda, He never dissapoints
+ Show Spoiler +Ya My imediate thought was that the one in the premonition is going to be Van Der Decken, because of the hat in the wanted poster. Another thought if it is luffy that is the one in the premonition it would have something to do with fighting Big Mam for some reason. Also the variants of fishmen, mermaids, ect is just outstanding
|
im really curious how all these players are going to fit into the plot. SH Crew, davey jones crew, fishman island royals, big mama, fishmen/mermaid friends, and that guy in the barrel. there are just so many pieces here i have no idea how oda plans on intertwining them
|
+ Show Spoiler +So Big Mom seems like a good spirited character (like Whitebeard and Shanks) if she "blackmails" Merman Island for just candy(!). So it seems after Whitebeard's death, 2 of the Yonkous will be hardcore evil (Blackbeard and Kaidou) and the other 2 good-spirited. That's how I feel...

Ok, I have just gotten to Enies Lobby and people have started fighting. I really loved the Arabasta arc, and the Sky Island place were okey, but there's one thing that's bothering me. Dead people keep not dying =( First that bird, the "ma-ma-maaaaa"-guy, and then the sky chicks dad. It would have been so much better if people that died, remained dead.
Oh, and I only watch the anime, but figured since it's still OP I shouldn't make a new thread about it.

The fortune telling annoys me. Even though as someone posted above there is a logical alternative I hate plot lines where the main character is villanized for a misunderstanding. I like Ubel Blatt which has it as a major part of the story, but that's supposed to be dark and to a degree it's deserved.
Also Sanji's reaction at the start was hilarious.

Oh and I just haaaaaaated those flashbacks right before the real fighting started in Enies Lobby. God, like 5 episodes of flashbacks, it pissed me off.

A bomb that's suppose to kill lots of people doesn't even kill the one person who it hits point blank..
