Serioues question though, does Oda actually tell the animators what color each character's hair is supposed to be? As for all the people saying there is a lot of spoilers you guys should see the opening during Amazon Lily. I mean it pretty much foreshadows Ace's death as well as showing scenes from Impel Down. | ||

Most of the things in the intro haven't happened in the manga yet, and I doubt they ever will(edit: in the foreseeable future, neither this arc nor the next arc). | ||

Bartolomeo does have green hair in the manga aswell. EDIT: Also apparently Rebecca has pink hair in the manga aswell. | ||

Fairys/Dwarves have been mentioned dozens of times before they actually appear. The turned to art faces, the meteor fight scene and the group shot of all DD's crew are quite spoileriffic, though. | ||

Those are definitely pretty big spoilers. Having watched the entire anime before anything else, the last time so many spoilers were in the theme was the CP9 arc, where we saw Zoro vs Kaku, Sanji vs Kalifa, Chopper's monster form (this was quite the spoiler actually, I flamed the theme for this) and Franky vs Fukuro. Though at least in this case we knew who the enemies were beforehand. At very least, reading the manga is about as spoiler-free as you can get it. So I'm fine with reading the manga and watching the anime's interpretation of the story. The anime is different in that it has a bit more content and also more filler-flashbacks (which aren't necessarily bad, though it can sometimes be tedious). The voice acting is superb as is the music. I'm not sure how I feel about the current animation, I find it might not be as detailed as it was before, the colors a LOT brighter as well. http://imgur.com/Znzzoem | ||

He doesn't tell the animators what color stuff is, but Oda does draw his characters in color from time to time. Because this is only "from time to time", certain characters like Kuma have different colors in the manga and anime, but this time the characters in question have been colored by Oda. Spoilers isn't something new for One Piece. Take for example the opening they had back when they got to the Sabaody Archipelago. The OP started with the crew fighting a Pacifistia, went on to show Kizaru and Sentomaru, the Super Novas, Releigh, and the Celestial Dragons. And it didn't stop there. Then we got scenes from Amazon Lily and Boa Hancock, and then Impel Down, Jinbe, and Ace. So yeah, point being is that One Piece OPs aren't strangers to stuffing spoilers into them. | ||
