Although the plot isn't canon, the backstory is, much like the Strong World movie and Gold Lion Shiki. + Show Spoiler + The backstory goes with this Admiral known as Zephyr (Garp and Sengoku's generation). Soon after he got promoted to Admiral, his wife and child was murdered by pirates. So he plunged himself into more work to stop the pirates. One day though, his fleet was attacked by this unknown pirate which annihilated his crew, and cutting off Zephyr's right arm in the process. So after that I believe Zephyr resigned and became an Instructor (much like Garp now) to many future marines, most of whom are the current Admirals (Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru included) and Vice-Admirals, so much so that they all acknowledge him as their Sensei. Anyway sometime during the timeskip, this particular pirate who defeated Zephyr and chopped off his right arm became a shichibukai, the 7th one not revealed yet. But I believe he must be rather old since that incident probably occurred many years back, and I can't think of anyone who is already revealed to fit this criteria, so I think it's someone new. Adding on to the Film Z plot, Strawberry was also hinted at to be the next Admiral, which is also part of the backstory. So we likely have Strawberry now and Fujitora. Also one more spoiler from the movie is that Aokiji lost his right leg (from his battle with Akainu) from the knee downwards and now has replaced it with an ice prosthetic using his Hie Hie no Mi. | ||

The Mera Mera fruit under Donflamigo's control is really interesting. I can't wait to see how it plays out. I could see it going to Coby, but I hope not. In all of One Piece, Coby is the only character I don't really like. | ||

Probably just irrational hate on my part. Not an intense hate, more of an indifference. He just seems so plain and not zany enough for One Piece. His sudden power ups and haki kind of bothered me too. I understand it though, because he dreams of becoming Admiral and it probably will happen before the end of the series. | ||
