I get the impression that Law and DoFlamingo can be part of the same royalty that was brought up this chapter? Maybe since DF stepped down Law can ascend up and claim some of DF's resources for his own? Or they may even be related? I feel like this is a subtle clue to something.

It isn't confirmed that DD was royalty since birth. Aokji did said he used his Shichibukai status to parlay to become a royalty. That is why Kuzan said that his status is not the same as BOA. Still interesting that his willingly to give up everything for Cesar. It tell tale just how powerful Kaidou is, still DD pretty relaxed and is still residing at Dressrosa. Pulling the poker face <3

My guess is that the DoFla fiasko is meant to be a diversion so the Law-Hats(dont judge me for this poor joke) have an easier time reaching Kaidou.
Also, don't forget Law already planned to attack Dressrosa and the smile factory on it. Law didn't want to capture Caesar to divert Kaidou's attention to DoFla, but to pressure DoFla into giving up his titles. However after the smile factory is destroyed, Kaidou will nevertheless go after DoFla.
Law never said he would not interfere with DoFla's smile production. Law just gives Caesar back. But without a working factory, Caesar will be useless to him.
I like that Law fella and his way of doing things.

This also implies that DoFlamingo has considerable power/resources.
Only if DoFla can resist an onslaught of a notable portion of Kaidou's forces, only then Law and the Strawhats can benefit from this situation(to get an easier time against Kaidou).

if law wants kaidou to go after doflmingo all he had to do is kill ceasor, he could stomp into dressrosa's factory and destroy it after he kill ceasor. Why would he uphold the deal after Doflamingo renounced his titles. This question is what lead me to think he had some kind of evil plan that involve tricking doflamingo and ceasor into something, and that something has to align with law's ultimate goal, which is taking down kaidou, and because law is a doctor, he might knows enough of the creation of SAD to alter it and fuck over kaidou when the time comes. Or perhaps the bad SAD would turn into a bomb or something that piss off kaidou even more so than Doflamingo not being able to produce any SAD for kaidou, and then at that point doflamingo will not have the marines to hide behind, he has no other choice but to face kaidou, and knowing he will surely lose the fight, he would have no choice but to accept assistance from law+luffy. I bet if the 3 groups fight together they will be able to take down kaidou. then again, this is all speculation, who knows where Oda is going with this.

I just had a brainwave - it is possible that Law got DoFla to renounce his titles to convince DoFla to join up and help them take down Kaidou. Or at least to get him to help them in some way by drugging the Smiles or granting them an audience with Kaidou or some such. I'm not sure what motivation DoFla would have for this unless the Strawhat Alliance can maybe guarantee DoFla a powerful position after Kaidou is taken out, something to offset the hit he takes from not having the smily business (giving him the ear of a Yonkou). But with Kaidou taken out, does DoFla really need to keep supplying Smilies?? Is it profit or was Kaidou going to tear him into little pieces if he stopped?

on a side note: what do you think happened to the last created Devil Fruit from the Gas / Slime monster?
If i remember correct there was a bunch of apples somewhere and one of them turned into a devil froot.
but that was not the frui momo eat. correct?
So somewhere on punk is a devil fruit lying around :D

Well, I assume Law would give back Caesar to Dofla as agreed upon but he never said "in one piece", so maybe he could just take Caesars heart out and stick that to seastone container or something.
Either that or he'll return Caesar after destroying the factory. Destruction comes first.

I really don't think that Do Flamingo is that easily cornered into allying with the very people that destroyed made him give up his position of power.
That would make Do Flamingo the most forgiving person since Buddha.

umm, did Law ever say he would be giving Ceesar back in exchange for resigning? iirc, he only said "resign from the Shichibukai," with no indication as to what he would do afterwards. Law then said, if he resigns by tomorrow, they would get in contact again, nothing about what topic that would involve.

When something eats two devil fruits it dies, so I think he fed it the second devil fruit (since the first one made the gas sentient) to kill it and have the gas cover the island.

Not a chance, aside from being a very loved main character he's a not yet fully exploited merchandising machine (I mean, he just got new forms post time-skip, and horn point looks awesome!). I can picture him being in some kind of trouble, tho: With an army of Zoan type akuma no mi users there will be quite troublesome if they manage to get rumble balls at their disposal.
