Doesn't he also have Viola as a sweetheart? He seemed to be infatuated with her, more so than with pudding. If I was him, I'd take the girl lined up to inherit a kingdom than someone who's like ~35th in-line for the throne. Then again, that might cause a Yonku invasion... so maybe not?

But let's see:
Luffy has Boa Hancock but he's probably going to die at the end of the series and would never settle down, IMO.
Zoro has Tashigi. Her status as a marine makes things awkward.
Ussop has Kaya who's a doctor so he's got it made.
Chopper will probably go back to Zou and live like a king.
I can't see Nami getting married. She will be a black widow for life.
Robin is a permanent vagabond. She will probably have a love-child though, just like her mom.
Franky and Brooke are incapable of having children. Not like it matters since they are both perma-virgins.

It's been there though. Not in the center of attention but there have been plently of romantic stories in One Piece.

Sure, but I mean I don't want actual romance amongst the main characters. Fairy Tail was a shitfest of shipping, so that needs to stay far away from this manga.

If either Luffy or Sanji find themselves in an actual romantic relationship, I'll be very disappointed.

Fairy Tail a shitfest a shipping? More like just tossing in random scenes here and there that could imply a future romance outside of like the 2 couples that were confirmed. But any pittance of romance that FT had was not why the series was bad. The rom was pretty much standard "nothing really happens until the end" shonen crap.
