... It was very clear that Sanji meant to settle his personal issue and would leave the crew for while until he finished it. Brook said that even if they chased after the ship and managed to rescue Sanji, he would decline to turn back because he still had unfinished business. So they shouldn't and don't need to chase at all.

We obviously know the most about Luffy, since he's the protagonist. But there are some crewmembers who I'd like to know more about - mostly Zoro & Brook for me. I would love to have a more detailed background story for pretty much all of the SH's tho

It sounded to me like Brook was refering to the latter, despite Sanji writing the former in his letter. That's my gripe.

The mangastream version has him say "No, it's useless! Stop, Wanda-san!" (referring to Wanda asking whether they should chase Bege) "Even if you were to catch up, he... has no intention... of returning" Which to me makes it pretty clear that Brook was only talking about the current situation and that there's no point in following Bege because Sanji won't come back willingly atm.

Could be wrong, maybe the Vinsmoke's did something awful to Brook back in the day and now he has a grudge against Sanji and doesn't want him to come back xD. I mean Brook before being a pirate was a part of his country's military wasn't he? I thought that was briefly mentioned sometime, I'll have to look it up. So maybe his country fought against or was fucked up by the Vinsmoke's.

onepiece.wikia wrote: Vito, the Firetank Pirates' advisor, advised Sanji that there will be consequences for refusing Big Mom. He then whispered something into Sanji's ear and Sanji reacted in extreme shock. Sanji was left to wonder how Vito learned this information, and the nature of such was enough to make Sanji decide to be compliant with her invitation. After being given a pen and a paper, Sanji wrote the note and gave it to Nami. He apologized to his crew, explaining it wasn't his intent to hide things from his crew, but he never expected to face this part of his past again, deciding to put an end to it alone. Sensing Nekomamushi nearby and choosing to resolve the marriage issue himself, he threw Nami, Chopper, and Brook out of Bege's body. v Thanks!

Others have pointed out that maybe Cat baws and Dog baws could be 'leaders' in the Revolutionary Army. Luffy might join them in their journey and then things will really get interesting. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Hopefully we get a Sanji only story for a few chapters where it all plays out almost as detailed as Ace-Sabo-Luffy backstory. This can get very interesting, seeing how it will be the official introduction of a Yonkou, Big Mom. The Kaido one 'recently' was a rather spectacular one. Yes, shit is going down soooon! It also wouldn't be strange for Robin to have higher bounty than Luffy, but it would confuse readers as One Piece uses bounties as power levels too often. As for forgotten plot lines we still haven't addressed all the Wano character plot lines of why Kaido wants Raizo, Momon's fear of DD and Kinemon's mission.

1. Blackbeard is supposedly an "end boss" and really shouldn't be defeated until the end and only by the main character or else all his hype goes to shit and the overall "threat level" goes down. Dragon is also an "end boss" kinda because he seems like he knows a lot about what's going on (void century, gorosei and WG, will of D, maybe one piece?) and it would fit very well for him to be part of the final battle with the government. So why would these two "end boss" characters fight right now? It seems way too early for them to fit into the storyline. If either dies, I feel like we'd miss out on a lot of content down the road. If neither dies, what is the point? 2. Blackbeard and the Revolutionary army aren't even part of the same story. Think about it. They are part of two separate conflicts: The oppressive world government and nobility vs. the common folk, and good pirates pirates vs. bad pirates. The whole quest for one piece, the yonku, the worst generation, the luffy vs. blackbeard rivalry are all part of the pirate storyline. The celestial dragons, the Gorosei, CP0, the revolutionaries, reverie and lost kingdom are part of the political storyline. You can intersect the two but only at the very end when they actually tie together. Right now, the two storylines are completely separate. It makes zero sense for any major conflict to happen between these two completely unrelated factions as of this point. I just don't get it.
