I guess we'll settle the Big Mom crew vs Sanji discussion from earlier. I doubt Sanji can defeat Big Mom's crew and it seems like he was defeated then captured with Caesar. It would be fun if my loyalty arc theory is true, but I still doubt it.

I am not actually complaining that Oda is making the crew split up to develop different parts of the story, but it has been near 2 years (?) that SH crew has not been doing their stuffs together lol

More so now we have Big Mom, kaidou and the samurai plot lines, this whole mess will take the next 3 years to resolve i bet. Alright, i am pretty chilled about that, and expect more haitus from Oda as well.

Well, story-wise it has only been a week. Also everyone except Sanji is together now. Oda ditched the entire crew for all of Impel Down and Marineford, so it isn't quite on that level this time.

yeah impel down and marineford was way worse in terms of strawhat appearances. i didnt actually read the manga then but im guessing everyone went a few years without seeing anyone elses faces besides luffy
impel down and marineford had much better characters involved overall though, so at least when i was watching the anime i didnt find myself wanting a strawhat reunion so much.

I bet the reason why Sanji can't return is because he had a trial by cook-off with Big Mam's chef in chief and won. Now they won't let him go and he's forced to cook for her all his life. And thus: the big rescue-Sanji-arc.

This is actually a great way to progress the story and I hope it's right. I like that we don't know which yonkou we're fighting first.
