+ Show Spoiler + OH SHI!!!! THE VERY FIRST TRUE DEATH IN ONE PIECE'S CURRENT TIMELINE. OMFG, Ace is dead! One of the greatest rescue arcs in SJ history and Oda just pulled a huge OMFG non-SJ move on us. Holy SHIT! I actually didn't see this one coming. This marks a true turning point in One Piece. Oda saved all the minor characters from death for this single moment and now the cap is off. One Piece characters' death free card is gone. Huge turning point! | ||

Man, even knowing about what was going to happen from the RAW, reading that last chapter was super depressing. I'm a big fan of Claymore myself. Berserk is really good too, though the latest chapters are kinda meh. They are both quite a bit darker than One Piece is, Berserk especially. | ||

Personally I started from the Alabasta arc (the first "epic level" One Piece arc), marathon through the remaining chapters within 2 weeks and then reread the entire thing from the beginning to end. It was a month of pure ecstasy. Got me into manga. | ||

If you want steaming, you can watch like the first 100ish episodes, and the most recent 50ish episodes on Funimation's official One Piece site (it has both sub and dub).
