The two dukes probably have a strained relationship due to something really petty, based on how childish their remarks are about each other. Jack needs to show us something good now, to tell us whether he is worth his one billion bounty or not. Like Kidd, I think his bounty is probably inflated due to his tendency to hurt and kill civilians. | ||

And Jack's bounty probably has to not only with the fact that he's insanely strong, but also with the fact that going around annihilating countries seems to be his hobby. Devastating nations would certainly put you near the top of the World Government's priority list. | ||

Comparing the 1B to ANY of the Shichibukai seems pointless since the bounties literally freeze once their appointed, and there's no way of know how far up someone like DoFlamingo would have potentially gone up if he refused the offer and continued doing what he wanted. Ace was an officer of WB's army not his right hand man like Jack is. Chinjo's is from decades ago so between the newer generation getting stronger and even crap like inflation i wouldn't put as much stock in that either. It doesn't really bother me because everyone knows the bounties should stop at Dragon, the most wanted man in the world. Hes got the highest, followed by the yonkou. So unless BB does some major shit at Revolutionary HQ to rattle that there is a cap. Plus the fact that the New World exists at all kinda make everything in Paradise somewhat mute anyway. | ||

I don't think its entirely pointless to compare the Shichibukai's bounties to his. Yeah, they froze over, but they were still regarded as being high bounties, and were all given at a time when they were considered to be especially dangerous. Especially in Doflamingo and Gecko Moria's case, with the first one targeting Tenryubito, and the second one rivaling Kaido (at the time). And while I agree that everything in the New World should make everything in Paradise seem somewhat small, this goes beyond that. Paradise considered 100M to be extremely big. Every big name in the New World we have seen so far has had a bounty between like 200M and 500M. The people showing up for the Tournament should have been a good indication about what Bounties are like in the New World. The Worst Generation's bounties after two years gives us an idea too. Luffy's bounty after defeating Doflamingo gives us another one. And now we get Jack who makes all that look like nothing. I feel like I'm typing too much about this lol | ||

Anyway, WB and Kadiou seem to have different setups to their operations so I'm iffy to compare Division commanders (which there were like 9-10 right) with what Kaidou names his 3 Calamities. You know how how the trope is, the less people in a group the stronger the individual members are. Something I did remember thou. Jimbe mentioned back on Fishman island that its very difficult to raise a pirate's bounty after they get into the 400k range like what luffy was at. So with THAT being a thing maybe bounties simply plateau at the range we have been use to until you start hitting the yonkou/dragon, which Jack is probably a low tier of? Like bounties cap at 500/600k and anything more jumps to 1B, nothing in between? Either way its still THREAT not just strength that makes up a bounty and we still only know so much about Jack at the moment, they keep hiding his human form from us and if I'm not mistaking the hybrid form if his zoan fruit is the strongest form he can take so we havent seen all hes power yet. | ||

But then again a lot of the people listed as example either became Warlords so their bounty froze or were people like Shanks/WB who aren't going around committing war crimes on a large scale like Jack does. The only reason why Kidd was initially higher was because of his attitude and approach to being a pirate. Which is why Dragon will probably have the largest bounty by far because he is directly trying to bring them down. Luffy has pulled a lot of fucking crazy stunts but they were all reactionary. He never would have went to Enies Lobby, Impel Down, or Marineford if there wasn't someone close to him being threatened. Hell if it wasn't for a corrupt marine reporting him as a criminal falsely he probably would have stayed off the marines radar a lot longer. | ||
