A hard carry that 5v1's your team and knows he's going to win. The latest revelations about Kaido confirm my theory that DF was never being controlled by Kaido, but DF was using Kaido to destroy the Nobles. Kaido seems to be immortal and simply wants to die and if failing that , destroy the world along with himself if dying himself is not possible. DF was scared of Kaido no doubt just like everyone else including WB would have been for a full frontal fight. WB would beat Kaido but many of his 'sons' would die in the process and Kaido would simply attempt it again in the future after he revived. (Probably what occurred countless times) You simply don't want to fight something that has infinite lives with a suicidal death wish regardless of your strength. Kaido wanted the fruits to create a huge army for the final ragnanork to engulf the world and DF probably offered him the fruits since Kaido with his beast army would likely beat the WG (same goals). DF wasn't fazed by WhiteBeard or the admirals but he craps his pants at the thought of Kaido coming after him not because of how strong Kaido was (weaker than WB) but because Kaido is immortal. Plotwise I can see him somehow being temporarily beaten by the strawhats+allies and then changing his views towards life because there's no way you can have Kaido remain an antagonist for strawhats given we know he's immortal. (The world government would have killed him if they knew how to given they had countless of chances). He doesn't seem to have nefarious intentions like the villains of OP (have to feel sorry for someone who simply wants the right to die) and the only 'flaw' he has is that he has a singular goal of self destruction. | ||

Like when Crocodile starting targeting them he got super excited and was like "Can't believe I get to fight a shichibukai so soon!" He will fight the yonko because they are the strongest and he likes to fight strong opponents. | ||

One of the clear rule for being a pirate king is that everybody recognizes you as one. And you don't become a pirate king if nobody respects you or believe you are one. Even as dumb as luffy knows he has to establish dominance in order to become a pirate king. | ||
