Bleach is a classic example of an author with one idea (not necessarily a good idea but a marketable one). He made it work for as long as he possibly could, with basically two different rehashes of the same arc that both dragged on far too long, and now he clearly has no direction and no idea what to do with his story. It seems like hes just stalling out as long as he can and collecting as much money from the series as he can before his editors pull the plug.

What is so hard to understand about that? He has to fight Teddybears in the dollhouse so that then, after the matchbox car race against Spongebob Squarepants, he can regain his Shinigami powers.

While funny on a 'wow, this has really gone downhill' sort of way...

It has gotten very hard to be optimistic about Bleach's future. There are very few directions this can go, and its looking like it is going to get a lot worse before it MIGHT get better.

Now Ichigo has to use Fullbring? So he's really just making shit up now. Well, more obviously.

I dunno I kind of liked bleach with the reset back to no powers. I think that more could of been done with it, like bring tatsuki into the story more, developed characters, filled plot holes... basically it was just 3 chapters, introduces ichigos old boss then throws him back into the same old training routine. With the promise of fixing his hollow powers or something like that. Vizards much?

The real sad thing about Bleach is that One Piece is actually my favorite manga now. Bleach and Naruto are now so bad I look forward to One Piece coming out. Bleach should end with Ichigo committing seppuku. Naruto should end with an eye power that creates nuclear-destruction-no-jutsu and blows up the entire world. GG now work on mangas that have stories that make sense guys.

The pace is slowly starting to get on my nerves. Seriously, the story moves INCHES in every chapter, as opposed to big leaps in Naruto and One Piece.
This week in the big 3:
Naruto: Kages ressurected and explained. 1st division in peril, ambush on the medieval lords. Blood expansion talent revealed.
One Piece: Learning about FI, getting to see King's Palace, Meeting Princess. Prophecy forwarded to Princes. Mud-dude getting freed and kidnapping mermaids.
Bleach: Getting into a doll house, period. ... ... ... Motherf***er

I can honestly say I would be upset if Kon returned. The mod soul was one of the first half-baked ideas that slowly eroded away at the Bleach universe in the name of artificial depth. He quickly went from a moral quandary about the way Soul Society goes about doing things, undermining their foresight despite their insane snobbery about everything they did. Unfortunately, the character quickly became useless, and was immediately reduced to comic relief. Unoriginal, uninteresting, and not really all that funny comic relief. Good riddance.

Although I'm not excited about the current pace, I have to disagree with people complaining that it is too slow and needs to be picked up immediately. If next week we found out that Urahara was actually an evil mastermind of some sort, or that Aizen broke out and Ichigo had to die again to become a super-hollow to fight him for 4-5 more chapters it wouldn't make sense. (Although overall storytelling quality would remain oddly unchanged.)

Bleach has, and always will have huge gaping unexplained holes. Ichigo's father was a Shinigami with powers etc. 20 years ago but not a single person from soul society knows who the hell he is? Fine. I've given up on that sort of thing being explained a long time ago. What Bleach really needs is direction. Since the very start until the start of this arc, Bleach was basically on the same arc, or allowing some side-show stuff to account for the passage of time. Bleach no longer has that. I don't have any real expectations of Bleach at this point in terms of quality or logic, but at least in the past I always felt like it was going somewhere, and the last several chapters have me questioning that. Is Bleach going anywhere anymore?

I'm starting to think it would have been best off if Ichigo had died when he defeated Aizen, and we call it the end of the manga. Closure with a logical and good ending point decided at the very start of the manga.
