Like I said, this all seem plausible but at the same time it could of just been ass pulled from Kubo salvaging situation into making some what sense. + Show Spoiler + if it wasnt for her using Shikai thered be no problem, but Kubo spent so much time showing Yachiru as a legitimate actual person and then "lolnope shes a spirit"
Not that it's good writing either way, but I thought the arc with Ichigo getting his sword back from the Division 0 guy showed that Zanpakuto's are actual tangible things and we already know they have minds of their own (or maybe not since it turns out Ichigo's spent the entire series talking to Ywach instead of Zangestu...).
Of course that scene created a bunch of other plot holes if I'm interpreting it right (can't bother to spare many brain cells during this final slog to the end) since it also means Zanpakuto's also aren't just manifestations of your spiritual soul power thingie and created separated from the wielder.
Anyways, I'm just reading chapter summaries at this point because every site I visit for the manga is full of pop-ups and potential spy ware so I could be missing a lot. Do you guys have a 'clean' site to read this stuff at?

i think its going to be a cross between Ikaku and Ichigo, he gets a huge stat boost and overtime as he cuts his sword is going to start growing until its at its full power since it starts broken
