I'm pretty sure that Kubo either explicitly said or implied that she could only revive others, and not herself, and/or that she had to die die for realz for him to take the title of Kenpachi from her (which was seemingly the goal). | ||

Unohana would still be. Which was the whole point of them fighting to the death. Granted I think she should be able to come back from w/e wound he inflicted on her I think she's dead for the purpose of the story to move on. | ||

If kubo decides he needs to make the story last longer he'll bring her back to life (remember Shunsui sanctioned the training so it wouldn't be a surprise if he had squad zero or something on standby to deal with the outcome). It's not so much important that Zaraki has become Kenpachi it's that he's removed the subconscious mental block he had when fighting. You can still see flashes of it when he fights Gremmy, helping Gremmy on several occasions to make the fight last longer. Clearly it's not as clean as "Zaraki has changed, he is Kenpachi, the world is perfect". Is it ever that easy? Also, you forget that Zaraki SINGLE HANDEDLY beat Gremmy whilst giving him breaks and being sucked into a vacuum where his insides were ruptured due to pressure. He also sliced Gremmy's "ultimate" without flinching. He did well to resist the Quincy girls when they came along as long as he did... | ||

Or is he going to stab him, and somehow still send him back in time. Kinda confused, he's a boss regardless though, always loved his fights just like Zaraki's always a mindfuck with how smart he is. | ||
